Man, I wasn’t legally allowed to drink when johan had 17 k’s. Now that’s all I do

So you never get to drink then?

Yeah but it is always a moving target.

Below .500 teams are not always below .500 teams during the course of a season.

Those 3 teams have spent a combined 6 DAYS over .500 for the entire season, and none have been over since April 10.

Don't think that's what RB meant.

They have stretches where they play above .500.

Is that part of the unwritten rules for not calling obstruction at the plate?

Winner.

(For those of you who didn't get it, he's referring to the pitch off the HP ump's mask.)

Not really though. The White Sox are the only one of those teams to have had a winning record in a month. They had one month at 16-15.

Because they were really bad for awhile but that doesn't mean that they didn't have good stretches of baseball where you were unfortunate to play them.

You wouldn't have wanted to play the White Sox when they went 6-1 in May facing the Royals and Indians or when they went 5-1 in June against the Nats and Yankees.

The Tigers had a nice run in April against Yankees and Indians.

The Mets were nuts for awhile and have promptly cooled off. The Giants were dead... came back to life big time and are dead again. Teams were unfortunate to get the Mets when they were nuts and unfortunate to get the Giants when they came back to life.

It's a moving target... The Orioles are capable of beating the Yankees on any night that Gleyber Torres isn't playing.

You might have a point if I was talking about non divisional teams who you play 6-7 times a year. Maybe the Indians rue that one loss they had in April to the tigers when they weren’t abysmal. But they’ll probably take the other 12 wins

Why is that different. Are you suggesting that familiarity breeds some sort of consistency?

Why can't we get the big clutch hits most other teams seem to be able to get?

You mean like Schoop's two-run homer just the other day?

76 wins, I think there have been a few clutch hits in there

No, but play a team 18 teams over the course of 6 months and you usually can look at the record and get an accurate assessment of how the teams played each other. Much harder to judge when you play two series against an opponent, then you surely can catch a team at a bad or good time.

1. We had to play in our 'house of horrors', Target Field this evening, so it was going to be tough to begin with. (I actually wonder if it is the loud music they play when we are batting? Distracts our hitters at Target Field? I don't know what it is. All I know is this team is a very different team at Target Field.)

2. We needed a great outing from Kyle Gibson, didn't get it, Period.

3. Nova is on a roll lately.

4. White Sox bullpen pretty decent, actually.

5. Big loss to kill our momentum is likely.

No, I think he meant like Polanco's bases clearing triple yesterday to break a 3-3 tie.
