70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Did Bert say "home run number 211"? Because Cruz has like 390 or so. Am I the only one who heard that?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Cardinals and Oakland also off tonight. This has happened a couple times this year for whatever reason, I remember a few teams not playing on a Friday in late June as well.I just tread something about this and the home team can opt for this schedule. Most don’t, Friday’s tend to be good days at the gate.

jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Come on play Buxton and let Garver play 1B! This would be a strong lineup! Sit Gonzalez and Adrianza.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Nice. Here comes Ehire "Sac Fly Machine" Adrianza.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Love Arraez's aggressive nature on the base paths. Make them make a throw!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 And now a bloop!!!!! Let's go!!!!
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ball is bouncing our way tonight! Should be an error, after looking at it. Bad play by Gordon there.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Come on play Buxton and let Garver play 1B! This would be a strong lineup! Sit Gonzalez and Adrianza. It was reported by several people that Buxton was scratched with a sore shoulder.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ball's in Gordon's glove and drops out and they give Kepler a double. Not how I'd have scored it.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I can’t remember the last time I saw Gordon drop one like that
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ball's in Gordon's glove and drops out and they give Kepler a double. Not how I'd have scored it.It was certainly not an easy catch but I'm sure Gordon will say that it was catchable by his standards.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Looking like a bullpen night for the royals. Sparkman already at 41 pitches

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Polanco has been striking out a lot lately on pitches outside the zone. Does anyone remember if that was his problem the year that he had that long slump?
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Polanco's had a chilly week. There were some pitches in his last AB there that earlier in the season he'd be mashing.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Love Arraez's aggressive nature on the base paths. Make them make a throw!I find it interesting that aggressive base running now only occurs when the ball is in play but it’s the new norm, while stolen bases are way down league wide.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 It was certainly not an easy catch but I'm sure Gordon will say that it was catchable by his standards. I know scorers go by the rule of 'extraordinary effort' when deciding between hits and errors but that ball was chest high even with the dive and it was in the glove. Sort of like when a pop up is allowed to hit the ground because of miscommunication and they award a hit instead of giving someone an error -- annoying.

PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Johan's pretty good at analysis.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Perez's glove clashes with his shirt.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Really good back to back innings from Martin
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Johan Santana, all time Twins great, nice to hear him in the booth. Sounds like he's doing well and it's cool he came back to celebrate Nathan's Twins HOF induction.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Johan's pretty good at analysis. He’s a smart guy. No wonder he was such a great pitcher.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Okay Perez, enough of this nonsense.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Welp, was just about to praise perez for the last couple innings...nevermind
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Cruz gonna make it pretty tempting for the FO to pick up that optionCruz will absolutely be back. Beyond 2020 will be a wait and see. He is a good karma...much delayed...return gift for David Ortiz.
