Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Good take there, Kep. Would have struck out on that last year.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Also. Seriously? No one is going to comment on Dick Lovelady? Really? No one?
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Lol even kepler looked shocked
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Good take there, Kep. Would have struck out on that last year. He should have struck out tonight on it
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 And you could be right, no way to know for sure. But whether it be the Twins, Vikings, other teams and sports I've read before in the past, I have heard several times where offers have been made even thought to be near done deals, and then it is never consummated and a different trade is made. Calls or text messages, I, nor anyone else, is privy to what took place. Perhaps the Twins had a good and fair offer in place. Perhaps the Jays said we will get back to you. Perhaps they even said the Twins would get last chance. Perhaps not. Just saying what was reported. Not to you, or anyone else, I just find it disingenuous that this FO low-balled and had a local reporter in their pocket to cover their efforts. This FO seems to work pretty independent. But what do I know? Totally agree, we'll never know.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Can our bullpen make it look as easy as Lovelady makes it look?I wouldn't count on it.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 He should have struck out tonight on it[/quote I actually meant on ball three.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 JORGE!!!!!!!! Wow, that was impressive that he even made contact
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Second and third and nobody out. Here’s where we shine.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Jorge again with a base knock, way to go buddy! Let's get a crooked number here (though frankly I'd be happy with one. I know, I know).

Blake Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Much as I like the Twins, I really hate missed calls like that.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Something tells me the next two months aren't going to be as easy as the first two.Maybe. But let's not forget how good this team is. One of the best records in baseball. And the pen, as it sits now, is improved. A winning record against teams that are .500 or better. Losing a few games here and there is going to happen. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Twins have still only list 3 games in a row ONCE.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Much as I like the Twins, I really hate missed calls like that. They even out.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 If we take the lead here, do you start to get Dyson loose?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 If we take the lead here, do you start to get Dyson loose?I think May gets the 7th... and then you cross your fingers and hope you have a big lead by the 8th.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 It'd be nice to get the lead up to 4 runs or more here....
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Why pitch to Cruz there? Also they should know the Twins numbers with bases loaded. Bad managing by Yost.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I might think Nelson Cruz’s option might get picked up.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ortiz....I mean CRUUUUZ! See what I did There?
