bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Not saying Sano's play was excusable - but he was trying to pick up a pitcher who's been absolutely awful. He wouldn't have tried that throw if Dyson hadn't struggled so terribly.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Throw a bleeping party, he got an out. Holy ****
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 And just as I type the above, he strikes a guy out.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 DYSON!!! Now you're just pitching
David HK Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 When brain cramps happen, they sure are contagious. Sano trying to help out his pitcher and doing too much on a tough play, then ffs, Adrianza not going after that errant throw. Took forever for the RF to get to it.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Joe West should get a hold for that called third.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Back to back outs. Glad I’m sitting down
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I thought this Dyson guy had an unhittable cutter!
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 That cutter was gross. Progress!
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Sam Dyson is legitimately better than every hitter he has faced thus far. The fact he hasn't retired a single one is a sad anomaly. I feel for the guy. He's gotta be putting a lot of pressure on himself to rebound from yesterday, when he had to pitch after a cross-country flight and not arriving to the stadium until after the game starter. The excuses end after today, without a doubt. But I have faith in Dyson Philly to Miami isn't cross country.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 The front office had to have seen his numbers when not in San Fran, right? Right?! Yes. I'm assuming they saw the 0.90 WHIP. Or maybe the 170 ERA+. Or the 2.73 FIP. Or if you're still a block of wood up top, the 2.43 ERA. Anything else you know that you think the FO doesn't? Because if you've got proprietary information and you're holding out on us....
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Anyone else find it ominous that the Target Field people were playing "Danger Zone" while Dyson was warming up?Seriously bad choice. Best bp entry song ever? Hells Bells for Trevor Hoffman.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I had to laugh yesterday when Levine was on with PA and mentioned multiple times the word "weapons" when it comes to our bullpen.....mmmkayDid he specify for which team?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I thought this Dyson guy had an unhittable cutter! No you heard wrong. He has an unintelligible stutter
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Did Richard really just say that between yesterday and today you can see why Dyson has been successful?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I thought this Dyson guy had an unhittable cutter! Well it sure does a great job of cutting down the Twins' leads
gil4 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Joe West should get a hold for that called third. He doesn't have the hold yet.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 If the team is going to bring in ground all pitchers late in innings, they're going to need to defensive shift Sano. He and Adrianza are on the wrong bases.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Philly to Miami isn't cross country.2 1/2 hour flight. Maybe 3. People acting like he walked there.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Omg, Castro. Saving bacon there. **Edit** For a moment.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I'm pretty confident Zack Littell will be in the bullpen tomorrow evening.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 This Dyson fellow leaves a bit to be desired.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I really want the Twins fans to boo here
bighat Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Let Dyson sit for the rest of the series. Hit the reset button, please. Enough already.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Yes. And what are those numbers AWAY from San Fran, as the question was posed?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Dude. This guy can’t be this bad, right? Like, he’s bad, even for our bullpen.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I really want the Twins fans to boo here Dumb.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 As I've questioned before, why can't we do anything easy? It always seems to be a high-wire act.
