bighat Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Nice to see the Twins win a challenge for a change.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Stay hot Sano. Make the doubters eat their wordsTake that, hatersLet’s not call fellow posters as haters. To be fair, I think Sano has given some reason to lose faith. That’s far from hate. Such a strong word. And Aggies? You miss the spittoon and you’re outa here!
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Last I checked there's still 2 spots open for the HR derby, any Twins make that or do we get snubbed on that one too?
a-wan Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 You need to say something like this at every Sano at bat. Too much sarcasm is trolling, right? And now I want a hair clipper to trim that rat of a mustache off the pitcher, and a mallet to smash that cowbell.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 What in the hell is that god awful cowbell at the coliseum?!?Sounds like there’s a vuvuzela there, too. Maybe they are confused and thinks it’s the World Cup. Or maybe they came to the game from a World Cup watch party.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I think I found a picture of the guy in the stands who's hitting the stupid cowbell. What in the World is this?
Blake Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Author Posted July 3, 2019 I wonder if this is what it would be like if RandBall's Stu started a game thread.By the way, by my standards, this game thread opener is pretty tame.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I would like the Oakland pitcher's mustache a lot better if he was throwing with a cig or small cigarillo like Clint Eastwood smoked in the old westerns hanging out of the corner of his mouth. Now that would be stylish.

Hush, Chief!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 What in the World is this? Live from New York, it's Saturday... Tuesday night? I'll have to check with Chief as to when it originally aired.

twinssporto Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I just called the A's front office and asked them to throw the guy out of the stadium with the cow bell. I calmly explained to them that a lot of people watching the game are irritated and frankly getting annoyed with it. They said they would look into it.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I'm glad Jake gave up a hit this inning. I'd hate to see him throw around 200 pitches if a no-hitter was still in the balance around inning 7 or 8. And it would probably be approaching midnight by then, too. West Coast time.
wabene Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 No three second blasts of music, just cowbell? Hmm I think they're on to something
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I think Oakland officials hire those people to blow their horns and play their cowbells to distract fans from how bad that stadium is.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 It’s weird how annoying things become more so than they are until it’s all we see and hear.Hush, Chief!Well, OK, if it's a Chief story you want, it's a Chief story you get. Mrs Chief and I were ... struggling a bit recently, despite decades of marriage. She finally talked me into going in for some counceling. We sat there in this frumped up doctor's office, and for an hour all I heard was complaints. Not enough this, too much that, no passion any more, yada yada yada. Well finally the doctor, a young kid barely into his 50s, stood up, walked over to Mrs Chief, asked her to stand, and then gave her a passionate kiss, right on the lips, for what seemed like a minute. "You see that?" he finally said after coming up for air. "She needs that at least 3 times a week. Do you think you can make that happen?""Well, no," I said, "I can drop her off Mondays and Wednesdays, but I bowl league on Fridays."
twinssporto Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I turned off the TV sound and put on WCCO and I can still hear the damn bell. I'm loosing my mind. I was doing great until people started talking about it. I've been infected with cow bell ears. Thanks.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Anyone sort of amused by the cowbell?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Dunno why you pitch a LH hitter down and in, ever.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Dunno why you pitch a LH hitter down and in, ever.Mistakes happen.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 The guys playing drums and cowbells has been going on every game probably as long as the A's have played! How is it that suddenly some of you are hearing it?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I don’t have to work tomorrow so I can stay up and watch the game to the bitter end.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 With 69 pitches at the end of the 3rd inning, our bullpen is going to need to relieve our All-Star starter very soon...
