David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Haaaaa! Blast from the past- that summer I played town ball in Northern Minny - We'd pop into the Viking Disco in Crookston, still in the uni's, the DJ would cue up that tune, and we'd hit the dance floor... Back when I could hit a dance floor standing...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Who didn't see that coming?

David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Sheesh, Jake.... Problem with the middle finger, eh? Me too, suddenly... Here, let me show ya...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 how many will Cleveland be back by the ASG? 2?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 That is entirely on Baldelli. Odorizzi shouldn't have even came out to start this inning, much less be around to give up 4 runs in four hitters. He was obviously off from the 2nd inning on. Extremely poor command, velocity off, breaking stuff flat, and lucky to only give up the two runs leading up to that.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Oakland crowd is randy. I think they should move the team. Not sure if I'm kidding or not.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Chris Herrmann! You've gotta be kidding me? How frigging embarrassing!
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 You played baseball in Crookston? What year(s)?Heh... ran around there with the Madigan brothers, summer break from UND. Circa 1979-80 or so? The memory for dates fades away, but the memory for disco tunes never wanes.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Sano homered so we’ll forget about his leadoff error to start this inning
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Sano homered so we’ll forget about his leadoff error to start this inningI can't blame much of that on Sano.

The memory for dates fades away, but the memory for disco tunes never wanes. That's really fun. I played for a year there in 1977! We were pretty good. Looks like we just missed each other.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Berrios deserves the All star spot more than Jake. Odor has not pitched like an all star lately
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Berrios deserves the All star spot more than Jake. Odor has not pitched like an all star latelyWell, we could see Odorizzi hit the DL and have Berrios go to the All-Star game in his stead...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I can't blame much of that on Sano.Well, no, not as much as the pitcher. But perhaps the inning is different if he fields that
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Man, this game. I always give a listen to the oppo team's mlbtv crew, whom I usually prefer to DickNBert. But between those lame dudes and the cowbell, I switched back- just in time for Bert's latest Harry Carey impression:"That's almost like what Matt Kepler hit..." Lemme try the radio feed....
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 It's 6-3 in the 4th. Why are you punting the game away?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 how many will Cleveland be back by the ASG? 2?We all know deep down that it won't last, but I'm enjoying the continued surprise. The pitching bail wire isn't going to hold much longer though. Those Mejia numbers that they flashed up are pretty inspiring too.
bighat Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Goodness please just end this inning already. Keep 'em to 6 and we've got a chance.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 A 3-0 lead was essentially money in the bank a month or so ago.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 That's really fun. I played for a year there in 1977! We were pretty good. Looks like we just missed each other.Heh... did you play for the Reds, or the Blues? We were the Blues.
bighat Verified Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Mejia, nice job we'll take it. Now let's hope the bats get hot.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Man, that was some poor managing, if you ask me.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Heh... did you play for the Reds, or the Blues? We were the Blues.I think we're on different pages! I played for the college team. What organization did you play for?
