Some will say that Sano could be sent down and Gonzalez can play third, and that would okay, but not ideal. Gonzalez is a subpar hitter and I don't see that changing.

Even injured he might be better than Sano right now.

I suspect we may find out if Baldelli wants to try Astudillo in the OF (or Areaez I suppose - but he has a grand total of 66 OF innings as a pro, 49 of which were before he turned 20)

edit: the ultimate insult to Sano. They bring in a LHer with spotty command to pitch to him in a 1 run game.
