LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 A what? I know you're asking for a friend, so I found an explanation from a Detroit Metro Times article that starts out with this helpful introductory paragraph... "To the untrained eye, a mosh pit looks like a bunch of morons running into and fighting one another. Its purpose, however, is not to injure, but rather to release frustrations and celebrate music" I remember a friend from my squadron having music celebrated right against his temple in the mosh pit at Pink's Garage during the Nirvana show there in '92, a corpsman attending the show helping us drag him outside, asking him how many fingers he was holding up, and my friend answering weakly, 'Uh huh.' Might have been a distant relative of Chief.
