I'll be at today's game! Should be fun. I get to see Big Mike labor for five or six innings. Yea!   Of course, after that is the bullpen! I hope the beer is cold and refreshing.

How about we trade Romero for Brennan? They both need a change of scenery.

You know the minute we do that Romero would turn into a world beater

We joke but this kind of deal wouldn't surprise me with this front office

So why was Eades sent down for Romero? Eades has been downright competent so far.

Glad we got the 4 pitches from Morin - don't see why we didn't leave him in for the 8th and bring Romero in for the 9th

I think asking Romero to pitch 2 innings, with a 9 run lead, and preserving the rest of the pen, such as it is, is a pretty reasonable decision.

YMMV.

The Mariners would run to the phone to make that trade. Romero is 3 years younger and has a lot more potential.

At least Romero looks good.

I took a look at Romero's numbers at the MiLB web site, per something you mentioned, and quickly understood why he wasn't up. And, much to my surprise, Romero's up with the MLB club. Of course.

To be fair, this is a pretty stressful, high leverage situation Romero has been thrust into.

Remember when he was FERNANDO ****ING ROMERO?

You know the bullpen situation is pretty dire when people are questioning why Ryan Eades got sent down.

Ryan.

Eades.

Remember the last time I got excited about a minor league pitching "prospect?"

Me either.

We do have some talent in the system but unfortunately a lot of it is in A or A+ ball
