wavedog Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Romero will be on the next flight back to Rochester - not sure we will see him again.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 How about we trade Romero for Brennan? They both need a change of scenery. You know the minute we do that Romero would turn into a world beater
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Romero's light bulb sure hasn't come on. Remember him dominating in the minors?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 How about we trade Romero for Brennan? They both need a change of scenery. We joke but this kind of deal wouldn't surprise me with this front office
d-mac Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 So why was Eades sent down for Romero? Eades has been downright competent so far.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Glad we got the 4 pitches from Morin - don't see why we didn't leave him in for the 8th and bring Romero in for the 9thI think asking Romero to pitch 2 innings, with a 9 run lead, and preserving the rest of the pen, such as it is, is a pretty reasonable decision. YMMV.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Why did we send Eades back down? Dude got 5 outs and only gave up two hits.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 How about we trade Romero for Brennan? They both need a change of scenery. The Mariners would run to the phone to make that trade. Romero is 3 years younger and has a lot more potential.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 So why was Eades sent down for Romero? Eades has been downright competent so far. They needed fresh arms
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 No worries..."Lights Out" Magill's got this.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 At least Romero looks good.I took a look at Romero's numbers at the MiLB web site, per something you mentioned, and quickly understood why he wasn't up. And, much to my surprise, Romero's up with the MLB club. Of course.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 So why was Eades sent down for Romero? Eades has been downright competent so far.Great minds
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 They needed fresh armsTechnically it was an arm
TouchEmAllGuy Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Been a well played game by the twins so far!
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 To be fair, this is a pretty stressful, high leverage situation Romero has been thrust into.Remember when he was FERNANDO ****ING ROMERO?
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Been a well played game by the twins so far!We do have lots of runs.
d-mac Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 They needed fresh armsSo Eades goes down for 10 days?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You know the bullpen situation is pretty dire when people are questioning why Ryan Eades got sent down. Ryan. Eades.
TouchEmAllGuy Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Why wait until July for bullpen help? We could use the help now.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 How is a 7 run lead this stressful?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Remember when he was FERNANDO ****ING ROMERO?Remember the last time I got excited about a minor league pitching "prospect?" Me either.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 If he's available, I'd almost give Taylor Rogers the 9th
TFRazor Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You know the bullpen situation is pretty dire when people are questioning why Ryan Eades got sent down. Ryan. Eades.Shutdown relievers have to come from somewhere
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Remember the last time I got excited about a minor league pitching "prospect?" Me either. We do have some talent in the system but unfortunately a lot of it is in A or A+ ball
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Woot, an out!w00t, that takes me back.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Good grief, put the ball over the plate!
