Because the season started in March it got me thinking. One hundred years ago opening day was on April 23rd. So it's not so much the weather as an industry trying to squeeze all it can out of a season.

I would guess every team played at least one double header every week back then.

Just dumb to bring him Pineda out for the 6th. Now what did you accomplish? Nothing. No more outs, and 2 more runs. I get the hope to extend a guy...... but it is so obvious he was finished, and you were still in the game only 3 behind. You didn't save any pitchers, and made it worse.
