Game Thread - Cleveland @ Twins, 3/30, 1:10pm

[yarnivek1972]

Cleveland’s catcher isn’t getting borderline pitches.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Twins had some nice whacks in the bottom of the 6th, now Polanco draws a leadoff walk in the 7th

[Pius Jefferson]

I hate the Twins uniforms.

[notoriousgod71]

Cruz mad at Bauer for pitching.

[Nine of twelve]

Cuzzi is having a rough couple innings. He missed two in a row there.

Unfortunately not rough by his standards. More like typical.

[bighat]

Big AB here for Rosario. Time to perform like the All-Star we all think he is.

[Mill1634]

I love the fire from Cruz. I don't think that was intentional on two strikes, but play with fire!!

[MMMordabito]

C'mon Eddie, stick 'em!

Hitting him no. But that’s THREE times in the last two AB that Bauer has been head high inside.

I'm just going to go ahead and admit that I was hoping for a mound charge for a second there, but I'll settle for whatever version of "Catch me outside" Nelson was responding to Bauer with.

And if I were Bauer, I'd buy Perez a steak for doing his best Jake "You showed a lotta heart shakin' it off like that" Taylor impression to steer Cruz toward first.

[Nine of twelve]

Dangit.

[bighat]

Nice contact by Cron. Hit it to the wrong spot. Too bad Eddie didn't advance the runners - but if Eddie had simply moved Polanco to 3rd the result here would have been the same.

[MMMordabito]

Miller = WPA play of the game right there, so far

[jkcarew]

Rosario has no business swinging at that particular 3-0 pitch in that particular situation.

[ScrapTheNickname]

3-0, no outs, runners on first and second, pitcher having trouble throwing strikes, and Rosario swings at ball four, eventually flies out ...

[Blake]

The joys of framing!

Frame it and call it "Ode to Dali!"

[bighat]

Meanwhile the Mets and Nationals have combined for 22 hits in DC.

[LaBombo]

Watching on Fox and just saw that atonal, indescribably awful McDonalds fish sandwich commercial for the first time. What's the over-under on how many times it airs before triggering all of tv-watching America to re-enact the church scene from Kingsman?

Is the take sign too old school? Would have been the right call...including the right call before the pitch was thrown.

You shouldn’t need to tell your # 4 hitter not to swing at a bad pitch on 3-0.

Am I disqualified from answering if I'm typing it on a Kaypro?

Then he hasn't watched much tape on Rosario.

[Heinie Manush]

Man, Cuzzi's all over the place.

[nicksaviking]

Man, Cuzzi's all over the place.

Mostly in the Twins favor. Seems rare to say that.

[yarnivek1972]

Tie game at home in the 9th. This would be a situation that “the book” says to use your closer.

Yup. One more reason to get one.

[yarnivek1972]

That’s a lot of shoulder movement by Parker as he gets in to his set position.

[bighat]

Parker. Unbelievable.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

It’s a designed play. Throw it directly into the Kasota Stone backstop and hope for a good bounce back to the pitcher or catcher, and make a quick throw to the runner trying to advance.

I think. Not sure.

Leaving in Parker here - with the way the Twins are hitting plus the undermanned 'pen I guess you have to?
