Game Thread - Cleveland @ Twins, 3/30, 1:10pm

[Jerr]

Bring him in!!!

[operation mindcrime]

Yeah Polanco!

[operation mindcrime]

Yeah Cruz!

[yarnivek1972]

Only 80 pitches in 5 IP?

Who is this guy and what did he do with Jake Odorizzi?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Odorizzi is pitching great, goes exactly twice through the order after 5 innings.

Your move, Baldelli.

[notoriousgod71]

For what it's worth, this game has not been very entertaining. Napworthy, even.

The combination of Morneau whispering and Odorizzi pitching put me to sleep for the first four innings.

[luckylager]

Too early to lock up Wes Johnson to a lifetime contract?

[strumdatjaguar]

Why did theTwins DFA Skeetah for a goose?

[notoriousgod71]

Don't worry, he may as well have thrown 100 as it appears he'll be taken out anyway.

[Blake]

That was a pathetic 5th inning.

[bighat]

Schoop battling Kepler for the biggest disappointment so far through 1.5 games. How many times is this team going to strike out? Is this part of Falvine's strategy? Just swing hard and close your eyes?

Or maybe Bauer's just got his good stuff today, guy did have a 2.21 ERA last year. But geez.

Me, too. And here I was excited I’d be able to get in the whole game before work. Guess I called that wrong.

Baldelli fools me by throwing him out there for the sixth.

[MMMordabito]

Why did theTwins DFA Skeetah for a goose?

No shizzle ... I always voted for Skeeta ... Moved on to Babe at the opener and won a free 12 pack of Pepsi Max

[Blake]

Odorizzi has 11 strikeouts through 6?

Wow.

[MMMordabito]

Uh oh ... Odorizzi just one upped Berrios ... How many Royals will K next Tuesday or Wednesday?

[ashbury]

Too early to lock up Wes Johnson to a lifetime contract?

Too late. We missed the boat on that opportunity approximately 47 years ago.

Kepler has yet to strike out this year so I don’t see why he is mentioned in that same thought.

[mrtwinsfan]

I know its only game 2. but im not believing in Max at leadoff, like the kid  but leadoff ???

[MMMordabito]

Well, it is Kluber and Bauer.

[yarnivek1972]

Wow

Where was that?

[jkcarew]

I know. Let's go with one of the guys on our roster that has a good career OBP. No...wait.

[LaBombo]

Or maybe Bauer's just got his good stuff today, guy did have a 2.21 ERA last year. But geez.

Bauer has been a new pitcher since the 2017 ASB. He more or less ditched his ineffective cutter and then his sinker while adding a very mean slider. With his previous mix of pitches his K/9 sat in the 7-8 range, but with the new one he's sitting somewhere around 11. If his arm can withstand the slider, he's a perennial All-Star.

Wow.

The joys of framing!

Well, it is Kluber and Bauer.

Amen, just hope it works out ?

[Nine of twelve]

Wow

Where was that?

Phil Cuzzi is behind the plate. That's the answer to your question.

[Vanimal46]

Wow

Where was that?

Looked like right down Broadway on TV. First time seeing a curveball, Mr. Cuzzi?

[LaBombo]

I'm not going to be too hard on the Twins for not warming up to Wes sooner. The Timberwolves passed on him after only two seasons.

[yarnivek1972]

Cuzzi is having a rough couple innings. He missed two in a row there.

[notoriousgod71]

Mejia, the modern day Dennys Reyes.
