yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 At AAA. Until he can do it against major leaguers, I don't see any purpose in bringing him back up. Ummmm, huh? How is he supposed to prove he can do it against MLB pitchers without coming up?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Like Casey Kasem’s top 20, the hits just keep coming. The big question now is will Erv make it through 5.
Dozier's Glorious Hair Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 At AAA. Until he can do it against major leaguers, I don't see any purpose in bringing him back up. But wouldn't the purpose of bringing him back up be to see if he can do it against major leaguers? And Sano just hit another one out. Nice!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 I think Sano is going to be OK. Liriano is not.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Twins are teeing off on Liriano, even most of the outs have been hammered.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Buxton doubled on the first pitch of the game (or maybe inning?) then K'd on 5 pitches, four of which were strikes, including the penultimate (did I do that right?) pitch that looked like a slider in the zone (swinging variety). The he hit into a fielder's choice. Not sure about the single. How is that for some micro-analysis that is worth next to nothing? Now, as to the game at hand--the Twins just have to do this two more times to tie the Mets!
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 We're seeing two starting pitchers very near the ends of their careers tonight.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 When did ballplayers become such whiny nancies? I guess maybe it’s always been this way?
akmanak Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Is it almost safe to say that the Dozier trade has benefitted the Twins and that Sano has figured it out?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Like Casey Kasem’s top 20, the hits just keep coming. The big question now is will Erv make it through 5.Signs point to no.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Santana has given up 9 HR in under 24 innings, he really looks like he's done.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 I can’t take much more of big erv
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Big Erv throwing BP...oh and the effort of Adrianza on that double by V-Mart was pedestrian, which is the only way V-Mart gets a double Can we please call up some of the youngsters that have 40-man/Rule 5 issues?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Erv is shot for sure. I see no value in running him out there every 5th day.
Fargoguy Provisional Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 This is starting to look like a slow pitch softball game.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 This is starting to look like a slow pitch softball game.idk, the Tiger relievers seem to be handling the Twins lineup pretty easily.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Logan must really want a new contract in Minnesota..and at this point I would look to bring him back on a one year deal
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 You can’t stop Logan Forsythe, you can only hope to contain him.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Funny how many didn't like the Dozier trade because it included Forsythe. Now he's hitting .400 in his first 15-20 games or so... I'd like to see him keep getting PAs to see if this is real. His past two seasons have been awful, so I'm not going to quickly believe that he's turned a corner.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Can we please get Erv out of the game.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 This is the second start in a row that Erv is making a terrible offense look good. Time to put him on the DL and call it a season for him.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Lol why is santana in the game still, paul?
Shaitan Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Can we please get Erv out of the game. They only have 17 pitchers on the roster.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 How is his defense? IMO it's been below average but I have yet to check fangraphs.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 It’s inexcusable that May is JUST starting to get loose.
