USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Following the service, please join us in the basement for fellowship, and where chicken sandwiches will be served. I'll bring the jello mold. Orange, of course.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 The order o' tonight's service will be as follows...Would the congregation please rise for the singing hymn #25 "Nothing but Raindrops"The first sermon will be given on "the 3rd strike."There will be a moment of silence as the pitcher gets the sign.Rise for hymn #99 "Third base coach is waving you on"The second sermon is "hitting the cutoff"A collection plate will be passed about for those stranded in scoring position. And finally please rise for our national anthem. The bullpen will be called in to give the benediction. Can i have an Amen?Er, and feel free to incorporate yer own variations as appropriate. I usually sleep too late to make it to services myself. I guess i'm limited by my own experience and even that i'm only badly parodyin'. I should get out more widely to experience this freedom of religion thing...RangersMike Minor (L)1. Shin-Soo Choo (L) DH2. Elvis Andrus (R ) SS3. Nomar Mazara (L) RF4. Adrian Beltre ( R) 3B5. Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I swear to God, I thought it was Amanda Whurlizer at bat just then.Hu?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Motter playing nearly every day... Love it!!1!
David HK Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I'll bring the jello mold. Orange, of course.Shaved carrots, grapes and tiny marshmallows, please. Actually, I hated "things" in the jello. Well, maybe the carrots. But I always thought the grapes looked like eyes.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I'm following on radio, why did Romero not get the runner at home? Dazzle wasn't impressed with the decision to go to 2B.

Always giving up the free run. I hate it. But they do it all the time. Tradition. Just dumb, I think. An out is never equal to a run. Romero didn't even look at the runner. He had him easily. Trotted home. And they didn't even have a throw for the double play, either. Pathetic.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 They want him to completely change his approach/swing, and I agree. I would guess he's going back to a leg kick, but just a guess. Also he might be instructed to take more pitches. Hopefully someone with eyes on will give a report in the milb thread or somewhere. It must've worked--he hit a three-run homer.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 It must've worked--he hit a three-run homer. .... and then struck out again. At least it was a strike he swung at.... just above the knee on the outside edge of the plate.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Man, I don't even know why I'm watching this. Heck with it. I'll watch Amanda bat once more, and go to the garden center. I mean, garden centre.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Minor really had to battle through the middle of the Twins order there...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Minor has all of 58 pitches after 5. No escape visible in the coming innings.....

wavedog Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I don’t get to see too many Twins games but it is too painful to watch this offensive futility. I would like to know what the front office is thinking. This is not entertainment.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Kepler went oppo. Could be a good sign. If he learns to use all fields with authority, the shifts go away and it will hopefully allow his BABIP to normalize.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I don’t often recommend a bunt but when I do it’s when .138 Wilson is batting
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Another out on the bases - ugh Major step backwards on the bases vs. the previous years. Embarrassing.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 This is good, but it should be 4-2, 2nd and 3rd with nobody out.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Scored a run but it was still a very bad inning.
S. Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Good teams score more than 1 run that inning.
