I agree. That said, we're all pretty frustrated and venting about how terrible he looks right now doesn't mean we dislike or want to give up on Bux. It's just really, really hard to watch someone play this poorly and say positive things.

 

It would be different if he had good or even decent plate discipline. Bat to ball skills are poor as well.

Buxton: Only 23. IMMENSELY talented. On everyone's top prospect lists and number 1 or 2 for a couple of years. Started very slow in 2017 before settling in very nicely. Migraine issue, fractured toe and no rehab here in 2018. Give up on him now???

He’s 24 1/2...in his fourth season and was OPS’ing 476 before the toe and migraine.

But no, I don’t think anyone wants to give up on him yet.
