Kep doing his thing. A shame he's been robbed of these HRs lately! We'll take it!

64 pitches. 43 strikes. 3 hits, 1 walk in 5 IP.

The Twins need more of their starters to struggle like this.

He's been all over the place.

Morrison thought he hit a grand slam on his 2 run single yesterday too.

He wasn't the only one, I Bremer'd all over that one live.

Is there a reason why a runner would not touch the plate with the leading leg? If he does that he's safe by several feet.

Kepler was clearly safe, but you gotta love they take an extra long time to review it and still get the wrong result.

Oh, and Kepler hesitated when running home... seems like the Twins are pretty bad baserunners. Remember when hiring Molitor was supposed to help with stealing and baserunning? That never happened.

Of all the things that worry me about Buxton, that AB demonstrates what I think is the worst.

He went up there guessing FB (which I have zero problem with, in fact I wish he do more of it), got it--right in the whomp em zone--put what looked like an aggressive swing on it, and popped up to shallow left.

He does so little damage on the pitches he actually DOES make contact on.

I was starting to write the same thing before our rally there. Even when Buxton does make contact, it's very weak - he had a full swing there on his last out. His "fly balls to left" are really pop-outs to short. His double he hit a few games ago was just a bloop shot between the outfielders. It's like when an NL pitcher is batting and makes what appears to be good contact, but there's just no pop. Buxton's exit velocity is not good. That said, before his injury he was hitting the ball on the nose and lining out. But right now you are right, even when he makes contact it's extremely weak. You don't see those kind of outs from other center fielders in the league very often.

You have to hesitate rounding third in this #metoo generation

Horrible replay call.

No way there was enough video evidence for it to be definitive one way or another.

Maybe the Twins use that as motivation offensively. One can hope. Morrison needs to blast one out of the park in his next AB and stomp on home plate!

that's why guys slide head first. You know where your arms are going better than your legs and feet

Much easier to keep that lead hand on the ground, plus you can make your slide away from the catcher rather than directly into the plate.

Haha premature on the K call, Dick.

He's had a rough night. Earlier he read the Tigers lineup as "due up" for the bottom of the 4th.
