Wow, I'm liking this young dude, I would say Lynn and some of the others are going to be in hot water with him doing this and them doing that

Nice debut from the young gun

I agree, but keep in mind small sample size. Remember Andrew Albers opened his major league career with 17.1 shutout innings in his first two games.

Was waiting for that double play. He got it when he really needed it. I'm guessing that's it. Hope the pen can hold one together.

It's nice to see a pitcher working himself out of tough situations i.e. getting Ks with RISP. Maybe it's because Romero doesn't have the stink on him that the rest of the team does, but it's looked and felt different watching him pitch. From what I've watched he has been in control of the game on the mound. That's huge.

Albers fastball didn't move like that

****, I just realized a few minutes ago that I've been missing Romero's first start. His line looks good but how have his pitches looked?

Early fastball was 95-98mph with late tailing action, changeup at 90-92mph that's been plus and a nasty slider that's 85-88mph but he's hung it a couple of times about the only time they've really hit him well.  His fastball hasn't really been barrelled up on at all.

Anyone know why Toronto's manager got ejected?

The play was a check swing on 3-2 with the running going.  The Twins threw out the runner who stopped running.  The home plate umpire appealed to the first base umpire who called it a swing and thus strikeout.  Toronto's manager seemed to be upset that the umpire appealed and left the runner in limbo as to whether the play was life.  Diaz (the runner) appeared as if he thought it was a walk.

Oh, cool, I flipped on the game just in time to see the clown car roll onto the field.

Timing is everything!  :)

Sorry. Got caught there in the bad side of my own intro.

How we doing today?

I'm doing well. And yourself?

(as for the Twins...well...)

Escobar and his doubles.

They go together like stink and poop

I like how you used that analogy for one of the few positive things this team has going for it.  :)

You caught the start of the game?

Must just be the car ... The clown (my boss) is sitting in the Delta section.

twins bullpen theme song?

I'm up on the tightrope, one sides hate and one is hope
It's a circus game with you and me.
I'm up on the tightwire, linked by life and the funeral pyre
But the tophat on my head is all you see.

And the wire seems to be the only place for me

A comedy of errors and I'm falling
Like a rubber neck giraffe, you look into my past
Well, baby you're just too blind to see.

I'm up in the spotlight, oh does it feel right

The altitude seems to really get to me.
I'm up on the tightwire linked by life and the funeral pyre
Putting on a show for you to see.

A runner at third 1 out, runner is stranded.

Bremer sounds a bit dejected.
