It’s big, four-game series that kicks off tonight in the Bronx as the Twins and Yankees go to battle in a series that could really help the Rays. Everyone is kind of numb in Twins Territory right now

Why do we waste our time playing these games?  Once the schedule comes out, the Twins should just petition the league to allow them to forfeit however many games are to be played at Yankee Stadium and save on travel costs.

Morrison just doesn't seem like a good fit on this team for some reason. I've said it a dozen times already, but it reminds me of the Kendrys Morales experiment. The guy was great before he got to the Twins, and went on to succeed after he left the Twins. But in a Twins uniform, Morales was awful and it feels like Morrison is cut from the same jib.

ehhhhh, I don't know... he seems like a pretty good fit
 

since he strikes out every other at-bat like a few other guys

Giving up that kind of talent? For Murphy?

We are out of our league here.  Just watch the at bats.  The Yankees don't swing at balls and we free swing all the time.  Walks will kill, as 2 have scored already.

If the trade had come back to haunt the Twins only once, no big deal. However, I believe the trade also cost on the defensive side of the ball in a couple of games, too.

But you know what’s going to happen, we’ll catch fire mid summer and eek out way into the playoffs, make us believe again, only to be humiliated by these same yanks again. Happens all the time

Well LeCroy over Ortiz is in a Hall Of Shame, whole other level of bad.

 

But I honestly think shipping out Hicks is number 2.

What would it take for someone on this roster to go nuclear in the dugout after this half inning? Or at any point in this series? How can professionals take so much humiliation?

Yeah... I wasn't going to go there but it should be listed as thee most prime example of how not to handle a 1st round draft pick. 

 

Hand him a CF job before he is ready with no back up plan whatsoever. Do this 3 years in a row and then when he finally shows signs of improvement. They trade a 5 tool player for a back up catcher. 

 

And then he succeeds with the Yankees and we have people saying that he was terrible for the Twins. 

 

I'll never be convinced that the trade was understandable... not even slightly understandable.
