It was a great turnaround season. Molitor will be gone which is a good thing. Most of us knew we didn't have a chance against the Yankees but who cares. We have a good core team and just need to add some pitching to compete for the division.

October 5, 2004 was the last time the twins won a playoff game, a span of 12 games. 3 more innings to to end the streak

Maybe we needed Hildy to go three innings like Robertson did?

Or at least two. He threw only 14 pitches and his stuff looked good.

Reminds me of a time I walked into a locker room on base.  There was a guy completely nekkid and he was blow drying the hair on his behind.   People were walking by and talking to this guy as if this wasn't one of the strangest things they had ever seen.

I decided I DIDN'T need to work out that badly, and about-faced myself out of there.

And yet another reason why I'll probably never join a gym.

The game is now two-thirds over, and the Twins are still in it.

In fairness, it's hard to be "out of" a baseball game in the 6th inning

The guy was an officer, civilian gyms are ok ;-) Except Planet Fitness.

Especially with Sano lurking on the bench.

Unfortunately, he's just a spectator - not on the roster for this game.

And yet I think the old Gardenhire Twins managed that very feat on multiple occasions against the Yankees, including several playoff games that were among the least competitive sporting events since the Lions hosted the Christians.

that's damn funny!

when I first read it, I thought it said Lion hosted the Cardinals and I was like, 'When did the Lions dominate ANYONE?'  So I re-read.

I keep telling myself it's only 7-4 but with 6 outs left, it's hard to remain positive.

I give Girardi full credit for pulling Severino as soon as it looked like the game was getting out of hand.

Disagree, twins were in most of those games until very late. Led in most of them too
