PDX Twin Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 In the winter, the Dodgers decided that Logan Forsythe was an effective substitute for Brian Dozier at 2B. Dozier coming into today: .267 BA, 34 HR, 93 RBI (mostly as lead-off batter), .847 OPSForsythe: .227 BA, 6 HR, 36 RBI, .685 OPS. I know which one I'd prefer in my lineup.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 "A hit to the outfield should score a couple." I'm not even sure that would score Mauer at this point.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Marney doing nine different positions today. Hah! Watch out for your jobs, guys! Kudos to the producers for this little trolling of what the Tigers did yesterday. I will definitely be paying attention when she steps into the control room. Let's see how the talent does when they get to step into OUR world.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 After two innings, Bart's no-no dream is still in play.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 man, just got done following the Vikings game. looks like another season lost for a "future" star of the offense. it's hard to comprehend how these things continue to happen to that franchise.

I don't want to be Debbie Downer, but I'm expecting the Twins to do some similar things to the Yankees. I've love to think "maybe this is the year!" but as a Minnesota sports fan I have to expect the worst.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Why are there so many empty seats at the Twins game? For shame.
jimmer Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Probably cause of the Vikings game
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Man, if I had money, I'd get a suite for the post-game.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Probably cause of the Vikings gameEven worse considering how inept the Vikings are.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Come on, Sano ... give it a ride!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Oh ugh! He is not ready. Hope he's ready by Tuesday.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Sano is going to be eaten alive in the postseason. When he's striking out against Tiger's pitching that does not bode well.

jud6312 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Did Richard really just say that the Twins winning a 1-game play-in game is just as big as the '87 ALCS?
jud6312 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Also, this whole "Marney doing 9 things" shtick is stupid.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Did Richard really just say that the Twins winning a 1-game play-in game is just as big as the '87 ALCS?Maybe getting past the Yankees in 17 is similar to getting past the Tigers in 87? Not sure.
jimmer Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Wow, Twins broadcasting does some truly stupid things. Spending the whole game talking about Gladden being a ballboy before and now the whole thing is about Marney doing 9 different jobs today.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Why are there so many empty seats at the Twins game? For shame. No more snow hat giveaways.

jud6312 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Maybe getting past the Yankees in 17 is similar to getting past the Tigers in 87?Not sure.I think that's what he was trying to say, but in reality one sent a team to the World Series and this is pretty much game 163 with a fancier logo.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 We all know this, but Buxton is seriously fast. I think he could have stolen the pitcher's mound on that one.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 They should have Marney and Audra broadcast an entire game.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Nice to see Anibal Sanchez has regressed to his pathetic mean.
