Good call...saw that coming.  This is the perfect game to prove he should call it a career.

Nothing good about this series. Worst case scenario after today .5 game(s) ahead of LAA.Texas within 2.5 games. Oihers at best 3 games behind. Twins cannot win in NY, it is carved in stone somewhere.

Well, this isn't horseshoes and hand grenades......unfortunately for the Twins.

I'm not convinced that this bullpen would succeed even if it were.

When I saw "Tyler Wade" come up on MLB, com....and realize I"m actually paying attn at work now, as my boss is asking what we actually do.......I was wondering when the Twins called up Lamonte Wade.

No. The Twins can't beat good teams and are a very average squad. It's not the Yankee curse, it's just that this team can't hit lefties and has trouble with good pitching in general. Red Sox, Astros, Dodgers, Yankees, Indians...you name it, they all pretty much routinely crush the Twins with ease. 

 

The Twins have kept in the hunt this year by beating up on bad teams, and catching good teams (ie: Milwaukee, KC) during bad stretches. They will need to continue that against Detroit immediately. 

Demoralizing sweep, demoralizing series, just a gut punch and a big middle finger to the fans given to everyone by the listless and drifting Twins. 

 

Had 2 of our best 3 pitchers going this series and got swept. Now what, we have to rely on Mejia and Gibson (who pitches best with 10 runs of support) to get us back on track? Yikes.
