Are there really that many jays fans in Winnipeg, though? Did all of Canada just adopt the jays from the start?

They charter busses I  bet these people are paying less then $100 for the Trip including tickets and food.

Problem is Molitor is screwed if he sends Colon out there or throws Pressly out there.

I do, however, get sick of seeing a pitcher start an inning, pitch terribly, and then get pulled just for the inherited runs to score.

And I think you have a valid point. Close game, sure. But Colon was solid overall. And if you don't send him out and the pen implodes, you question why Colon wasn't sent out again.

Personally, I think Molitor has been much better the second half of the season in regard to pulling pitchers on time and has used his pen better. Perfect? Nope. But I think he's had a better overall feel.

I actually think they did.  I think if one looks at numbers from games in Seattle vs the Jays, I would bet they are higher than the average for that particular season.

I can't tell you how much I hate seeing a pitcher follow through not ready to field his position. I would NEVER call up a pitcher from the minors that didn't finish ready to field. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.

There's a great drill for that, by the way. Coach holds a bucket of balls while pitcher throws. Right after each pitch, coach rolls a grounder, left, right, middle, then every now and then toss one right at his face. This forces the pitcher to finish ready to field, with glove and hands open towards the plate. It'll save his friggin' life someday.

Looks to me like Toronto is 21 hours from Winnipeg.

If that gets by Pressly, it's right to Dozier.

Still and all, great job by Pressly.

This is entirely on Molitor.

Meh, pretty iffy job by RP. And the damage is far from done.

I don't.

I could be wrong, but I feel like Pressly was a rule 5 guy his rookie year.

I really hope the front office is smart enough to send Pressly on his merry way when this season is over.

I absolutely get the frustration with him. He's just not consistent enough. And maybe if he DOES start the inning things are different. But with his arm, and some good stretches, I'm just not sure I give up on this guy just yet.

So far tonight, I don't think the HP ump has missed a single ball/strike call.  We sometimes complain, we should probably recognize the opposite, too.

Through 6 1/2, according to MLB pitch f/x, I only see 4. Bottom 3rd, pitch 1 to Giminez, strike that was called a ball / top 5th, pitch 1 to Hernandez, ball that was called a strike / top 6, pitch 3 to Smoak, ball that was called a strike / top 7, pitch 6 to Smoak, strike that was called BALL FOUR. Pretty damn good guessing. Mighty fine. All extremely close, too. And all went against the Jays, excpt the ball four call to Smoak.

But let's face it, the umpire was still guessing.

So we clone this ump?

Why is it so hard to find good, consistent, quality umps? I'd really like to know. Tough job, but, is it really that hard to just call a zone consistently?

I don't think there is enough accountability for these guys.

Who needs robot umps when this ump exists?

All other 14 games today and all 15 games daily when he is not behind the plate.

I hope that Chargois, Burdi, Jay, Curtiss, et al. mean that we can unload Pressley next year, or maybe the year after. Until then, he has more upside than many of the alternatives.

He's not guessing.

I don't understand what people wanted from Pressley?

He didn't field a bunt.  OK, should have.

Pitched extremely well that inning.  Extremely well.

The Twins are behind because of Molitor, not Pressly.

I seem to recall Kepler was hitting lefties better when he first came up. He's doing something different now, something not as good. Possibly falling off a bit with his front shoulder. Not sure.

If he is human, he is guessing. His best experienced guess.

We wanted him to move his big dumb leg out of the way so dozier could have fielded that grounder ;)

I wonder if the 1926 G

The Indians lost. What a bunch of losers

I wonder if the 1926 Giants crack a case of champagne every year like the 1972 Dolphins...

If any of them are undead...
