John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 That was just shockingly bad managing.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Molitor just has to press it. It was so obvious. Colon never should have thrown a pitch this inning.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 It's a mistake to bring Colon out for the 7th, and I don't care what the result is. You have like 10 relievers out there. Heck, it was questionable to bring him out for the 6th. Yeah, 10 relievers. In a close game, maybe 3 or 4 of which have earned any confidence. And two of those guys probably aren't available.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 As I said in another thread, only thing that stinks about the past 2 UNBELIEVABLE wins is the starters really "deserved" to have the wins.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Now's when...ah, Molitor noticed. Good.

iastfan112 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 That was an utterly unsurprising turn of events.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Looks like the Jays know how to bunt.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 How do we feel about Pressly warming up? I felt a lot better about it if he was starting the inning......
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Too bad we can't have the same two relievers pitch every game like in women's softball. The rest are bums
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Colon should not have thrown a pitch in this inning. Yep, you're right. He ran out of that 85 gasahol after the 6th.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Yeah, 10 relievers. In a close game, maybe 3 or 4 of which have earned any confidence. And two of those guys probably aren't available.I HATE the Twins bullpen. I STILL like any of them better than another inning of Colon tossing beachballs.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I don't understand why a team like the jays travels well. Before their recent run of success, they couldn't fill a 1/4 of their stadium

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Here's hoping we get Good Pressly tonight.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Problem is Molitor is screwed if he sends Colon out there or throws Pressly out there. I do, however, get sick of seeing a pitcher start an inning, pitch terribly, and then get pulled just for the inherited runs to score.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Is Eddie capable of using both hands to catch a flyball?

I do, however, get sick of seeing a pitcher start an inning, pitch terribly, and then get pulled just for the inherited runs to score.Pressly to start the inning isn't a bad choice. Sometimes he's bad, but a lot of times he's pretty good. But in any case he's miles better than sending Colon out there again, hoping for more luck. I've said this before, I'll say it again: Lose a game late with the bullpen? That's probably on the bullpen. Lose a game late with your starter? That's probably on the manager.

John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 This was all very avoidable.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 For Jays fans in say Winipeg, Minneapolis is a helluva lot closer than Toronto. Are there really that many jays fans in Winnipeg, though? Did all of Canada just adopt the jays from the start?
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Damn. That was going right at Dozier
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 If that gets by Pressly, it's right to Dozier. Still and all, great job by Pressly. This is entirely on Molitor.
