Not wanting to be accused of hyperbole or rose colored glasses, but when you see what Berrios is capable of, and knowing his fitness regime and competitive mentality, don't you still have to think he might be a true #1 in the next couple of years?

I do not get wrapped up in assigning rotation numbers while top players are still prospects. Sure, many prospects have a ceiling of a #5 for a few years. Anyone better than that, though, is often just one pitch refinement away from suddenly jumping into a rotation as a mainstay for years. And someone a little better than that, such as Berrios and a few others in our system, can be an ace. Or a dud. It just depends on what they do with the opportunity.

 

Berrios can be a #1. In my book. It remains to be seen.

Does your local cable provider offer packages involving Rockies and D-Backs games? If so, there's your answer. (I agree, it's arcane and often counterproductive.)

Nope. We only get the Rockies. It's only an issue every three years, but it really sucked this year.

Just was looking at the screen and noticed Holland's name over Dozier's and chuckled a bit. Those who are fans of sixties and seventies Motown music will remember the names Holland and Dozier as songwriters and producers for groups such as the Supremes, the Jacksons and others.

 

The things that enter my brain at times...

If I had a normal, predictable work schedule I would. But I don't even know my schedule for next week yet. It's kinda hard to know - in advance - if I would be able to do it on a given day. And even if it was a time when I rarely work, the reality of my position as a Kitchen Manager is that I can get called in almost any time.

Honestly, really want to jump in. My work schedule...retail...is kind of weird. Think I just got September today. Really want to toss my cap in the ring and take a shot!
