Got it working.... it was an adblock update thing.....

I guess my experiment took me longer than I realized. :)

I've been loading mlb.tv via Roku on my TV set, but just now I tried in tandem on my laptop and ran into no difficulties. So, something local to one user?

You can't play the game on MLB.tv if the game is playing in the same market in which you are located. So, since I'm in Chicago, and the game is playing on a local network, it's blocked from view here. I can watch it after the fact, but not in real time.

 

But I've never tried any work arounds, if there are any.

No chicken for dinner tonight ... I made turkey burgers ... close but not quite. A friend of mine texted me yesterday. She forgot to cancel her HelloFresh order for this week and it was likely sitting on her doorstep, so she asked me to pick it up and enjoy! The first meal ... crantastic turkey burgers with jammy mayo and green salad.

I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank sampleSizeOfOne.  SSOO stands ever ready to pick up game thread duty when we are in need of a volunteer.  He's done fantastic work, often on short notice, and with nary a complaint or whine.

 

THANK YOU!

 

With that said...let's get September taken care of...lots of opportunities.  AlwaysinModeration has already stepped up and taken on a game.

 

who else?

 

It promises to be a great month...battling for a WC sounds like fun.  Let's make the game threads equal to the task!

OK, change of plans now. We can't keep paying him $24M, but as long as Mauer can hit some, get on base some, learn to rip shots to RF lime that, and keep playing defense like that...he can play as long as he likes.

I was just reinforcing your experience to h20, with my own, that it evidently must have been just him. (Which it later turned out.)

 

I run into the same block when the Twins play in Boston, and simple measures like Roku do not change that.

But on a serious note, Buxton untouchable, and Kepler maybe so, (Still a bit raw but oh so talented), I have stated before that were I a team talking to the Twins about a trade for a high end SP, Rosario would be at the top of my list.

 

Now, we're I the Twins, he might also be untouchable.

I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It's about a 5-6 hour drive from Denver and a 7-8 hour drive to Phoenix. We get the Rockies games as part of our Direct TV package. However, MLB.TV considers us to be part of both the Rockies and Diamondbacks territory. So I was unable to watch any of the series against the D-Backs, which happened to be probably the most entertaining series of the year. These blackout rules make absolutely no sense.

What I have noticed about Garver catching tonight: nothing.

That is, he's hasn't done anything to get noticed. That's a good day IMO.

I've noticed a couple good stops on pitches in the dirt.

Have to say, I know some people don't like Smalley, but I really enjoy listening to him.

You get a lot of enjoyment when he's on the broadcast, then.
