Just checking in after leaving a bowling league meeting.  How we doin?

Right now its like we are bowling a 300 game...just a few frames left.

Gee is out now so the bullpen is coming in.  It's kind of like taking down the gutter guards.  Could go either way.

Duffey warming up with an eight run lead and Gee at 69 pitches.

It's still more pitches than he has thrown as a Twin and highest total at MLB level since June. Not that you were specifically criticising a possible move.

Starting Gee was a very good idea [especially compared to Melville]... maybe he can stick around in that #5 starter position for a little while longer?

I'll interject a few random things after catching up on a doubledheader thread. Melville has some stuff and so does Turley IMHO. We'll likely see Melville again (my guess is he is the long reliever and Gee stays in the rotation). Remember, Melville was a Top 100 prospect until he had TJ surgery. Turley has some stuff and he's a lefty so somebody will keep taking chances on him. I really like Slegers, but he's a guy who has never been a top prospect. He's making the most of what he has and I'd take him over Gibson, which might happen as soon as tomorrow.

Chris Gimenez looks like a lock to log a full season with the Twins. He's been up and down every year since 2009. Until Castro homered about a half hour ago, Gimenez was tied with him at 6 homers each.

Does anybody have money on who leads the Twins in homers?  Don't sleep on Brian Dozier. He's only two behind Sanó and has eight homers already this month. Dozier might not get to 40 homers, but this surge puts his numbers for the season nearing elite again this season. His OBP is on a pace to be a career high.

I spilled some guacamole on my sweatshirt earlier. It's now dried and sort of crusted and no longer looks like guacamole. Just sayin'

At this point, I like Dozier to lead the team in HRs.

I don't think Sano is back in 10 days.  Hope I'm wrong.

Bowling league meeting?

10 pins and a ball, anything else to discuss?

I imagine the leaugue part will consume a disproportionate amount of meeting time and energy than the bowling part.

Twinsnorth, i envy you your blissful ignorance on the subject. That, or i wish you ran the world. I'm not sure which...

I've found blissful ignorance to be a comfortable position in life for most things. Probably because I live in Canada.

Missed the first game, watched most of the second game while posting elsewhere and figuring up checkbook. Loved what I see from Gee. Have to ask, with the big lead and good pitch count, despite losing a bit, was he taken out too early?

He had thrownabout 40 pitches 4 days ago, so he was probably on a pitch count. He went about as long as I thought he would.

Important question -- which game today was considered the makeup and which was the regularly scheduled one?

There may be doughnuts riding on the answer.

I can't find it, but I'm almost certain the first game was the makeup game.

The way I thought it was listed this 2nd game was the make up game

Not going to blast Melville or Turley for the first game, but just awesome how the team battled back, then beat the White Sox in game 2, still riding the high tide of their recent streak.

There is no quit in this team!

I found it ... if you look at the online schedule on the Twins site, they list this 2nd game as the make up game.
