Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I turned to my pal at the bar and told him when we took Turley out that i'm blaming Molitor for this loss if the bull pen ends up blowing it. Turley had less than 80 pitches. Jams happen, did Molly really think Turley was gassed and had lost it? Give him another inning...
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Could Dyson be the Giants' Belisle? It doesn't look like he'll be with the Giants long. He could of still be the Twins Belisle! After the Twins release their original Belisle of course.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I expect either Belisle or Breslow to be gone after this game. Preferably Belisle.

DH_11 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Get a decent reliever and I think we'll hang in the race all year guys. Nice site, enjoyed the game thread. Thank you.

Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 The thing about Belisle . . . like at a certain point you have to think the law of averages is going to come into play and he will throw 10 scoreless in a row . . .

I've been thinking that for a while and it's now almost the middle of June. While the ship may not have sailed, the anchor has been pulled in and the sales are set to leave with the tide.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 I see we lost, huh. Oh well. Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes... well, you quote a Coen Brothers' movie. Take it easy, y'all!

Roaddog Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Could be worse. Gotta think Belisle either ends on the DL with some ailment or is released. He has the numbers of an aging slo pitch pitcher
David HK Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Still, a 6-4 West Coast road trip ain't bad. That is true. And what an unexpected treat those numbers are. Yet- if a team is truly a contending one, (and I maintain this year's team is still in Marlon Brando territory), giving away winnable games through ham-fisted, face-palming managerial decisions time and again always come back to haunt you when the weather starts to turn.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 I won't cry too much if Pressly is recalled to replace Belisle and Turley sticks around ultimately replacing Breslow. At least they can miss some bats sometimes.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Bullpen again, eh? Same old story. As others have said, we'll take the winning road trip. Normally, you'd think that an upcoming homestand is a good thing, but this team has been flat out bad at home. Here's hoping for a good week ahead!
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 is this team capable of losing by one even two runs?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 is this team capable of losing by one even two runs? There was a game in Seattle... Yes. Yes they are.
