Game Thread: Twins @ Seattle, 6/8/17 @ 9:10pm CT

Completely agree, as long as the Twins view themselves as contenders. The second they don't, Kepler needs to be an every day player regardless of platoon splits.

And as an aside, the loss of at bats for guys like Kepler and Buxton due to partial platooning or pinch hitters is a seldom-discussed cost of prioritizing the pursuit of the division crown over readying for 2018 and beyond.

That's a valid point

[Danchat]

Buxton! Look at him go!

[LaBombo]

Wow only a single?  That used to be a triple for Buxton when he was yonger

But even in his old age he managed to get the other two bases on a passed ball.

Seattle is +500 in live betting right now. Just saying.

Where's that British guy who just showed up?

Someone should let him know.

I am now heading for the rheumatism medicine.

We're all saying a prayer also, Brandon.

I love how Kintzler kneels and "prays" before he throws his first pitch.

Buxton's at bats are reminding me of his extended cold spell last year. He looks over matched.

It seems like breaking pitches are a game of tag for Buxton where he's always about to be "it".

Amen, brother. I am now praying to all deities, known and unknown.

Wow, Buxton is fast on the bases.

I think he's still "it" from last night.
Oops, misread that.  I thought we were talking about Kinzler's breaking pitches.

Boog Powell appears to be a very Tyner-esque DH

[Puckett34]

Never a doubt.  Dinner time?

[Whammy]

Clean Save!!!!

[glunn]

Good job by Kintzler. He showed command and guts.

[TwinsCD]

Nice bounceback, Kintzler.

Late night chicken run!!

Does that help with Kintzler-induced nausea and anxiety?

Weennah!

If I had to be a ML closer with his stuff, I'd pray too. It's Eddie G. all over again.

Sort of like Gardy's 'the second baseman leads off' rule, Servais DH's the guy with the coolest sounding former All Star power hitter's name.

[Oldgoat_MN]

Kintzler has done pretty well, but there are a lot more base runners than I like when he closes.

I think I got spoiled by Aguilera, Nathan and Perkins.

He got the job done, though!

"I've got some oregano. I hear that works pretty good."
