If he was a decent bunter.

I can't stand bunting for strike one and then taking the bunt off.  I'd keep the bunt on with 2 strikes more often then not.  You can strike out without bunting the ball foul too.

Kepler should get a day off against a lefty tomorrow. Uff da.

Kepler in 2017 coming into today:
vs RH pitchers: .301/.376/.516 (.892)
vs LH pitchers: .143/.217/.214 (.432)

Yes, he shoud play sparingly against LH pitching.

Good one.

It was mostly for fun, but a little bit of a metaphor... Belisle still has the capacity to be effective, but his margin for error is almost razor-thin at this point in his career.

Seems like every team we face, I end up thinking "man I wish we had this bullpen"

That just tells you how low the bar is set.  I've been thinking the exact same thing.  Look on the bright side.  It will get better someday.

I'm going to bed before I needlessly get my heart broken again.

No!  Stay up a little longer. I think there's only 3 or 4 of us still on here at quarter to midnight.

He looked lost in his last at bat.

Rzepczynski in to pitch

Bert: "Just call him Scrabble"

Drink!

I thought Bert's name might be worth a few points, too, but it's not as good as I would have guessed.

Great catch by Rogers. We still need insurance runs. I would feel safe with Kintzler and an 8 run lead.

Completely agree, as long as the Twins view themselves as contenders. The second they don't, Kepler needs to be an every day player regardless of platoon splits.

And as an aside, the loss of at bats for guys like Kepler and Buxton due to partial platooning or pinch hitters is a seldom-discussed indirect cost of prioritizing the pursuit of the division crown over readying for 2018 and beyond.

It looks like they might take care of that a bit earlier tonight.

13 more minutes to midnight, and then everyone's allowance of 'Likes' is refilled!

Buxton's at bats are reminding me of his extended cold spell last year. He looks over matched.

He needs another therapy session with Torii.

I wish they'd buy him a week of training with Chili Davis. Buxton would look great with that stance.

I thought the Y might help more,  but it's not so rare, just in a weird position.
