Dman Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Is Pressly really this bad? Can't throw strikes can't get anyone out?
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Who's talking about #1 option?Six run lead. S I X. 1,2,3,4,5,6 run lead. If you can't get 3 outs, or even 6, without giving up 6 runs, you shouldn't be on the roster.Yeah, bringing in Pressly sure has worked out well. And now thanks to Molitor's utter incompetence, someone from the Twins will get drilled next inning.2 guys who were called up out of desperation don't exactly give me confidence. The fact Pressly has failed changes nothing. Jerr, Dozier's Glorious Hair and glunn 3
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 I want "able". / h/t to Brian, generous comedian that he is, for the straight line To follow the Domino... "To Rock and Roll All Nite" Thanks you Fats glunn and ashbury 2

BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Get out of the game Pressly! Take yourself out or something!
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 2 guys who were called up out of desperation don't exactly give me confidence. The fact Pressly has failed changes nothing. At least warm up one of them and see how his pitches look.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I remember when the Twins had the luxury of "stashing" Pressly in the minors.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Infielders in the outfield, a Twins trademark. Danchat and glunn 2
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Rosario catches that... Probably, I don't think we can blame Molitor for Buxton getting injured however. Mill1634, Jerr, BoofBonser and 2 others 5
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 One swing away from being a whole new gameWelp, there it is...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Probably, I don't think we can blame Molitor for Buxton getting injured however. That sounds like a challenge. Cuz... I think we have some TD'ers who can do it. Jerr, ashbury, Dozier's Glorious Hair and 1 other 4
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Hindsight is 20/20 but would it have made more sense for the Twins put Grossman in the field and just have the pitcher hit? It's not like they needed more offense. spinowner, Mill1634 and glunn 3

The fact Pressly has failed changes nothing. How much confidence do you need with a 6 run lead? Yeah, Pressly was the right decision alright. He's been terrible most of the year. This was entirely predictable and likely preventable. I'm not even sure who was called up, but I think I would have had more confidence in them than Pressly this year.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Welp... Would anyone actually claim Pressly right now?

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Gattis vs Breslow seems like a negative. Mill1634 1
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Welp... Would anyone actually claim Pressly right now?He has an option. I figured for that reason he was going to go down.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 If yesterday's loss was bad, this would be devastating glunn and BoofBonser 2
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Twins are going to lose this game....
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Rosario catches that...A catch like that on the run at the wall is never a sure thing. Unless Adrianza took a bad route, Rosario would have faced the same challenge with a tough angle. glunn 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 The 9th should be interesting, if it's a save opportunity that is BoofBonser, glunn and FlauerPauer 3
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Yeah I mean none of our 10 top prospect relievers are any better than these guys so we should keep them down as long as possible. FlauerPauer and pbrezeasap 2
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Nice play by Polanco but it really didn't look like he needed to dive. I think he could have ranged over and picked up the ball cleanly and completed an easy double play. His dive was kind of in the fetal position. glunn 1
