Should have scored way more there.  Shame on Gimenez and Buxton.  Good on the rest of 'em!  Polanco's really heating up!

Great to get 3 runs, but man, you had a chance to do some damage and we have Gimenez and Buck up there...somewhat predictable results.

Could have locked up the game there with a couple hits from those guys.  They failed miserably.  On the plus side, the way Tillman's pitching they might have another chance with the top of the lineup.

Along the same lines of the pranks mentioned earlier, baseball teams have traditionally had a prank where they send a clubhouse boy or new bat boy to the bullpen to get the key to the batter's box.  Stories I've heard about this happening never cease to be funny.

During college, I worked at MSP airport as a baggage handler.  Once we had a new guy, and told him the next flight had a number of oversized bags, and we would therefore need a "bin stretcher" (a bin being the name for the baggage compartments in the bottom of the plane).

 

We took it to the next level by letting him know that we didn't own one, so he would need to go to United to borrow theirs.  Once he left, we called United, told them the gag, and had them send him onto another airline.  An hour and 6 airlines later, he returned, very embarrassed he was unable to complete the task set for him.

 

This sounds shockingly like the breast plate stretcher...

Which reminds me of the time in college my fraternity brother got drunk and started telling women he was an "FBI".  It went well--until it didn't.

I've liked this Polanco kid since the first moment I saw him when they called him up from single A ball. He's just a pure ballplayer.
