I'm sorry the game got outta hand.  I'm back now and fully engaged in the Game Thread.  Twins will rack up some runs now.

Not sure if you ever had the privilege (and I mean that) of listening to John Gordon announce game on the radio, but he was the king of that.

 

"....A high drive! Deep to left! And Visquel calls off the third baseman to make the catch on the edge of the grass...."

 

Really miss listening to that guy. Nothing like cracking a cold one, wetting a line off the dock on a dead calm summer evening, and listening to Gordon call a game on the radio. Nostalgia overload.

This game is now in the hands of our bullpen... the next 4 innings will be interesting, though I expect Duffey to take the 6th, so that one should be fine.

BTW, you missed the obvious one:

I actually didn't find those stats on the internet.  I made them up by myself.

This is how I feel about Herb Carneal. Vin Scully may have been better, but if he was he was the only one and only by a little.

I do recall when he was the PBP man...this is back in the early 2000s when you were first able to listen to games online (I'm not from MN)

Right when I typed "should be fine", I had a feeling I was jinxing Duffey. Turns out my hunch was correct...
