Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Don't forget to note that the baseball gods unleashed the Hounds of Hell, which proceeded to rip the Twins to shreds early and often.FTFY. Sorry to be anal.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Yeah, I just liked my Grade I Hazmat situation comment about it.Just pulling your leg there.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 It's just not a typical Tonkin outing without a home run.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Hey, I just remembered that Sano's suspension hearing was supposed to be yesterday. Does anyone know if there is any word?
David HK Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 So, it's nearly 5AM here, why I'm awake rt now is anybody's guess. Maybe it was the excitement of the beginning of the Tepesch Era...Oops- maybe not.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 I guess the Red Sox don't take too kindly to being walked off?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Gosh, hitters sure do love those flat Tonkin pitches. Hate to say it, but he needs a change of scenery. He generates his velocity by whipping his upper body straight sideways, effectively eliminating any downward plane. Somebody needs to teach him to throw overhand before he gets chased out of the pros.
magiklair Provisional Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 It's time to rework the bullpen All these career minor leaguers.. We really did not address it in the off-season very well to put it mildly. Bring up the young guys, has to be better than the current bunch.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Chris Gimenez to the rescue!
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 FTFY. Sorry to be anal.Nice work. I've always heard loosed, but unleashed works on even days and weekends.
jun Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Tepesch, Pressly and Tonkin should not be on any major league team roster right now. Please call up Berrios and some effective relievers please.

The Twins have got some work to do to fix things if we are to continue playing a little above .500. Things need to break right and solid promotions need to be made. It will be interesting.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Tepesch, Pressly and Tonkin should not be on any major league team roster right now. Please call up Berrios and some effective relievers please. The thing is, they don't have any effective relievers to call up. Chargois' hurt, so is Jay. Haley will be back soon... Boshers? There just aren't any options. I'd rather trot out guys like Busenitz, Baxendale, or Hildenberger instead of Rucinski but the chances of that working is still slim. How about we convert Gimenez to a reliever and call up Garver as the backup catcher? I am joking, of course...
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Sometimes I wonder why pitchers don't do this now and then, just toss the ball like you're playing catch with your 10 year old kid. MLB hitters are so used to 90+ speeds, the low 60's become hard to handle. Even when they know it's coming, the slow speed is difficult to compensate for. On top of that, GiMENez tossed the ball high in the zone, inducing that pop-up.

It would be a jump up, but rather give him the opportunity if he's healthy
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Nice work. I've always heard loosed, but unleashed works on even days and weekends. One cries havoc and lets slip the dogs of war, but I'm not sure what's the correct treatment of the hounds of hell. I'll ask my local vet, next time I have our cat in for a tuneup and oil change.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 How about Fernando Romero? It would be a jump up, but rather give him the opportunity if he's healthyIf I recall correctly, Romero's one of our best starter prospects. I do not want to mess with his development right now, I'd rather let him continue to excel at what he's doing.
