Nope

Polanco makes that play... Tepesch is in the dugout with only 1 run allowed. Maybe he gets killed in the third... maybe he doesn't. We won't know now.

Yeah, that error by Polanco was as untimely an error as I've ever seen.

Look, I get Polanco's error really screwed things up, but the Red Sox were going to get these 7 hits either way. This is what happens when you use AAAA pitching... except it's more like AAA pitching.

Maybe

Only timely errors are forgiven, yes.

EDIT ADD: The comeback has commenced.

Escobar is swinging a good bat... I'd play him. But Adrianaza made it town... he had a night of sleep in the hotel. He got some breakfast... took BP and stuff.

Polanco hasn't been on fire lately. Tepesch could use a couple of top notch defenders to help him out. And Sale starts tomorrow so I would have given Adrianaza the start over Polanco.

But Oh Well.. I never take myself seriously enough to be serious about it.

Seriously?

"...put a snowman up there on the board..."

Okay, that was good. 8 is a snowman.

I liked that, too. Haha.

My other big theory is, teams that get big early leads get complacent and give it all back a run at a time.

Hopefully, theory #2 works out better than theory #1.

Yeah

It has been said time and time again. The 8 run lead is the most dangerous lead.

I get the error happened....but this is why you don't dink around and bring up Nick freaking Tepisch to start games for you.

Teams finish 1-2 games out of the playoffs every year. You can always look back and see some boneheaded decision like this one.

This isn't a playoff team. This is a team that is in process of finding out who is a big league player and who is not.

Do I like it? No. but I want to keep my expectations in line with where the organization is right now.

My assumption is so the bullpen can watch the game from those cheap seats they have.

I am willing to buy them a big screen TV if the owners will pay to make the wall safe. I have said this before -- with Buxton out there the wall should be made ultra-safe.

Got them right where we want them.

On another note, we have to lead the league in solo home runs. It's crazy how there's never anyone on base for our shots

Did Jack just say Kintzler didn't pitch that bad last night?

He got ground balls. That's what he does. He wasn't much different than in his successful appearances.

Oh, I'm very greedy.  But I also know that Tepesch has the potential for a Grade I Hazmat situation tomorrow.

That was me last night.  I hate that I was right.

Seriously, these two need to stop dwelling on the error. Nick and Drew had MANY chances to stop the bleeding after that, and they didn't do it.

Some of it is on Polanco, but a whole bunch of it is on them, too.

Castro is looking incredibly proficient at hanging on to foul tips. The man seems to be very quick, especially for his size.

Games like this can be interesting, and not just for the morbid humor. After an early blowout inning, the leading team can find it very hard not to go into 'scrimmage' mode, relaxing and assuming their pitching and defense will absorb any comeback attempts. However, with several innings left, and with some surprising pop sprinkled through the lineup, this Twins team is hard to hold down completely. And with a guy like Sano in the lineup, you can't assume the Twins won't score.

On the other hand, Porcello's on the mound. Oh, well...

I don't know...no pitcher has ever had to successfully overcome a two out error before. In the history of MLB.

It might be the right time to move Dozier and let Polanco play 2B and Escobar play SS. Mauer and Grossman can draw walks, they should hit before Sano, Rosario and Vargas, Kepler hit 6th, Escobar 7th, Polanco 8th and Castro 9th. Everybody plays natural position, that would eliminate errors occurred.

You hate it so much that you bring it to our attention a second time. :)

Am I wrong, or don't we trail the solo homer count 2-1 in this particular game?
