That's one heck of a lineup.

Looks great, let's break camp and start the season! It's a winner, I tell you, a winner! (or a TD goldmine of snark)

TD traffic would rise, imo, if the lineup was that "interesting"....

0-0 after 1. The powerhouse lineup of D Santana, Grossman, and Park couldn't hit Stubbs home from 2nd.

MLB Gameday is telling me Park hit a 2 run homer in the 1st inning...

Yeah mine just did that too... Hmm, I guess it's still spring training for GameDay working out the kinks.

I was so glad Park wasn't claimed.  He could be as advertised.

But he also did pretty well last ST, too ... when pitchers are up to speed, and we aren't seeing prospects and minor league pitching, then we'll be in a better position to judge. I want to see what he does the last half of March.

Not saying he's going to be in the MVP discussion, but IF this is Park''s real potential, look how nice our lineup could be!

It's waaaaaaay too soon to judge Park, imo. See my post above ... he did this last year, too. Pitchers are not up to season form yet ... not to mention not seeing the best of the best.

So far Thielbar is the only Marlins pitcher who didn't give up a run. I don't know the Marlins pitching staff at all to know who all the pitchers are

Yep. Pump the brakes a bit on Park for MVP....

The hardest this to judge is how much the injury set him back last season. If he can stay healthy this year we'll get a better read on him. And like he told me, it was different, a learning curve.

BTW, I'm still in motel room, no sleep in 6 days and getting very antsy, so I'm going over there tomorrow come hell or high water.

Yeah ... he will and should get seriously looked at to see if last year was a combo learning curve/injury problem ... and I hope he's great and we have someone good ... I think he plays 1st considerably better than Vargas ... but ... it is still too soon to judge.

Glad to see see the Twins scoring some runs but let us not forget last and if I remember correctly the year before. Spring training really shows nothing IMO. Pitchers are simply stretching out their arms. Park will be playing with a chip on his shoulder though and it would be great to see him hit 30+ dingers this year, but the problem I see with this guy is his defense is absolute ****.

I disagree with your take on his defense. I think he's considerably better than Vargas and would be, defense-wise, a decent platoon with Mauer. As I said above, we'll just have to wait and see about his bat.
