Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Well there goes the lead in a hurry.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Seems I was early for batting practice

Linus Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Dick and Roy are raving about the Twins getting to Hamels while giving Gibson credit for battling and giving his team a chance. They pretty much had the same start.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Lesson 101 on how to bungle an inning. After a leadoff hit - have your best hitter bunt which he cannot do successfully, then get the runner thrown out on a pitchout because it was that obvious it was coming. Finished off by the ump missing ball 4 and calling it strike 3 instead. Exactly this. I don't want my best hitter bunting.

King Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Beltre has crushed LHP over the course of his career (and this season). That matchup was kind of bad for the Twins, but Rogers got the K anyway.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Does anyone recall those old sting drawn spinny arrow animal noises toys? I got an idea for one of those for geometry... The circle says "oh"The elipse says "..."

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 On this night of positivity I would like to say that Gibson, ah sucks. Half the time he pitches, including tonight, he looks afraid to throw a strike. I think he needs a big old burley catcher to threaten him with his life if he doesn't start challenging hitters. Most people need a big old burley catcher to threaten them... no matter what job needs to be done.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I like Joe Oberle's stuff on Viking Journal, but I'm not expecting much from his new article, "Vikings' Rival is the Pack-Due to the Competition." I'm worried that it's going to be the first of a series including "Vikings games will feature scorekeeping to determine winner, loser" and "Vikings to use air transport to reduce away game travel time".
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Dick: "Odor spanks a double". Cue spit take.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Atta boy Rogers don't worry about the runner when your curve is on
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Bad baseball comes in a variety of ways. And the 2016 Twins are the cheese wheel of bad baseball. Jepsen was limburger. I, for one, will not miss the Odor.

ashbury Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 False. A "contusion." Much different. I guess I was jumping to contusions when I suggested amputation.
Linus Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I like Vargas better than Arcia.Well maybe I spoke too soon.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Vargas looks pretty winded after the double. If the Twins get the ball out of the infield maybe when he reaches third he can pass the broken bat baton to Gene Glynn for the anchor leg. Edit: Too late. Vargas disqualified for false start.
