Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I think they'll keep it empty for now. They can have a little flexibility for a possible waiver claim or promote someone in the minors (no names come to my head). The Twins also activated Trevor May and sent Boshers down to AAA. It's too bad for Buddy because he was pitching really well in the majors, but I don't think it'll be too long until he gets another shot.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Just keep adding to that list of ways to keep Arcia.

The issue with Arcia was a 25-man issue, not a 40-man. Since Buxton was recalled, it was evident that Mastro's days were numbered, but they couldn't outright him until he was off the DL. There is no reason right now to add anyone in their system unless he is promoted to the majors. The Jepsen DFA created one spot and Mastro's creates a second. The Twins can claim first on any AL DFA/waiver amiright? They should be able to make a good claim or two.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 While Berrios should be back up soon, hopefully to stay, this also opens a spot for Wheeler.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'll never forget his .000 BA this year! Any chance Clete Thomas is available?
Rosterman Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Yep. Two spots available. See what happens tomorrow with Milone. Hey, the Twins should've grabbed Eric Fryer!
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'm glad Mastro got the chance, good for him. He just keeps trying to hang in there, and why not?

Not sure how many interesting names will reach waivers at this point in the season, though.
