The cool thing about that comment is that when he stops hitting you can reuse it the whole rest of the season without the comma.

That's like some depression era wisdom, right there.

First time all year the twins have scored 10 runs

Which means we're probably waaay off the pace for the all-time MLB season record for most losses in which we score ten runs.

Suzuki has now passed Shane victorino for most RBIs by a native born Hawaiian.

I like how a soccer game can just end whenever the officials feel like it. "Oh 3 minutes of stoppage time. Might as well blow the whistle at 3:45"

I had someone explain that to me. It almost made sense. We tend to be very clock oriented, but that's not the only way to look at a competition. In soccer the sense of fair play is to make sure both sides have had their chances. The match should be about 90 minutes, but if the ref feels that one side has something going, it's wrong to call the end of the match in the middle of the action. An extra minute or two isn't so important, in this view.

OK, I think I didn't express this as eloquently as whoever told it to me, because I'm not convinced by my proofreading pass. :)

Coulda swore they had scored 10 runs by the third week of the season. Oh, ya mean in one game? Well, now, that's different.

I have found not buying things makes it easier.....I really would like a computer of my own, but it doesn't kill me to use my wife's when my iPad isn't enough.....

Well, you can always buy things that take up less space, like an iPad....

Heh. Yeah, my cousin who lives in Eau Claire had a middle school graduation party like that too.

i wish I could like this one again, last time I heard it I laughed so hard I fell off my dinosaur, the Wisconsin drunk jokes just don't get old. Mind you I learned to brew at college in Minnesota...

I would be awfully angry though, if my team were ahead after 93 minutes and the opponent tied it up at 93:30.

They're weighing multiple offers.

That's the only plausible explanation.

They've received no offers, and haven't been forced to file waivers yet.

Nah, that's stupid. Your explanation is right.

Game on pace for a nice, tidily played four hour affair...

I think the Ump has expanded the strike zone so everyone can get home before the New Year.

Ya know who I feel bad for? Ryan Howard. He used to be one of the most steady, surefire players in the game. He's fallen a long ways. It's no fun for him anymore.

At least nobody will throw a bottle at him while he's in MN. At least not unless he blows a pass interference call to cost us the game

Dude. You gotta give me time to guess.

Not so. They achieved that season total midway through game 6.

Haha I actually went back and looked to see if they scored ten runs in the 6th game. Way over my head

I found it funny when he won MVP over Pujols.  He wasn't even the most valuable player on his own team that year.

Funny thing is, next year, Rollins won MVP when he didn't deserve it while also not being the most valuable player on his own team.

Now all he's got left is his World Series ring, his legion of fans, his relative youth, and his millions of dollars.

and he's kind of shaped like Homer Simpson too.

Dozier's triple was a result of a surprisingly good at-bat. He took a pretty tough pitch the other way... so maybe he's finally learning?
