Every time I see D Santana in CF all I can do is shake my head in disappointment.

Can you blame him? I'm cracking a beer right after I type this sentence.

You're slow. Already did that. It's a holiday, after all.

Hey, be nice to us older guys. We need our morning, mid-morning, afternoon, mid-afternoon and evening naps. How can we sleep properly without being properly prepared?

Speaking of which, I see it's time.

You need to step up your game. I'm a sexagenarian, and I can get by on only one nap, or sometimes two.

Looks like the Twins will be facing another hit-able pitcher.  I'm hoping they can take advantage today.

The problem has not been hittable opposing pitchers. It's been that Twins pitchers are even more hittable.

You have your methods, I have mine.

Buxton catches that, and easily.

This is another reason why the Twins are so bad. They continually trot out outfielders who have next to no experience in fielding and they hand the other teams runs. Dan San just handed the Yanks a double and Sano was doing it before he got hurt.

Can we get the infielders out of the outfield?

The one thing every player can control is hustle. Santana did not hustle for that ball. He drifted back, then had no time to adjust for the windage.

The schedule maker is certainly a sadist, making us play the Yankees 7 times in less than two weeks.

Signal failed for the Twins broadcast, so I switched to the Yankee broadcast. Interesting comment about Centeno last night. Because he let two pitches get past him, they said that allowed the Yankees to win. I agree Centeno needs to get A LOT better at blocking balls in the dirt. That may be the one saving grace of Kurt Suzuki, who otherwise is a mediocre catcher with a weak arm.

The NY announcers are actually very professional. Better than Dick and Bert. Their comments on the Twins players are more honest and revealing than what we're hearing from the home town boys.

I can't stand their announcers...not my cup of tea. I guess it's easy to honest when your team is the one dominating

I just can't get used to Joe Buck announcing the US Open.

12 more weeks til you hear him on football

Anybody else think the Twins should step up and get Merle and his family better seats for the rest of the game?

The guy's 90 years old, it's 90 degrees out and he's subjecting himself to this team ... get the man some good seats. I imagine there's plenty of good seats still available.

They should make him owner for that effort

Terry would hate that ... Merle pays attention to the games (until he falls asleep). That puts him one step up on the Pohlads. Terry might not make it through the day.

I love gladden's mispronunciations.
Gregarious

I may be in the minority on this, but I like Kris Atteberry. He's smart, knowledgeable and articulate.

He seemed pretty OK with Audra around.....
