HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 If they arent going to play arcia let him go so he can flourish somewhere else. I still cant figure out why he didnt pinch hit for suzuki last night. I think our mgmt might need to be drug testedArcia as a pinch hitter? This year: 92 AB's 40 K's. Not much to recommend him as a PH.Either way, nether one of them is worth spending a lot of time on. I say: give him a pat on the back and a hearty 'Good Luck with your next job/team'
Blake Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Well this thread is taking an odd turn, even by game thread standards. It would be odder still if a game thread didn't take an odd turn.

A&B are all up for grabs!

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Not me. Think "Elephant Man" only without the looks, charm or eloquence.Wear a mask or something and fake your way through - it could work. That's all the advice I have.
S. Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Dozier and Plouffe batting 3 and 4 makes me shed a tear every single time I see the lineup. And presumably makes opposing pitchers shed tears of joy.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 And on top of that, the Universe is not behaving as expected.http://www.astronomy.com/news/2016/06/nasas-hubble-finds-universe-is-expanding-faster-than-expectedMy favorite question: If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding in to?
Blake Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Wear a mask or something and fake your way through - it could work. That's all the advice I have. Actually, if I want to feel better about my looks, I just stand next to "People of Walmart." I suspect, though I've not proven, that I probably win in the eloquence and charm department also.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 What are the Zephyrs up to now. Being from Bear Town, I remember the prettiest girls were always across the lake.I had a boat. And a canoe.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 My favorite question: If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding in to? The universe is not analogous to a big inflating balloon where the boundary keeps expanding. Rather, each point in the universe is continually getting farther away from every other point in the universe. And it's not because the points are in motion away from each other. Rather, more space keeps forming in between. I'm not an expert physicist or even an amateur one but I that's how I understand it. It sounds totally weird.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 The game threads have standards?Yes, three in fact. Low, lower, and lowest.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 FSN pre-game announcer, 'Just hasn't gone right for the Twins this year that's for sure but hey, there's always pork chop on a stick at Target Field'
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 We're complaining about Buxton getting on base the day after he goes 2 for 4 with a triple? Ok.I took a look and since his call-up he's batting .333, and with the extra base hits his OPS is .846. It's just that when I watch him at bat, I can't help discounting the numbers a little. That, plus his BABIP is merely .455 for this short period.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Growing up, it seemed the prettiest girls were always on the other side of the lake. No matter which side of the lake I was on.They had binoculars and good taste, both.

jimmer Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Announcer said Twins have to take advantage of the schedule with so many games being played at TF in the next 3 weeks. Then he said they've been playing very well at home. I think I'll stop listening to him now.
