Andriese vs. Santana – Matt Andriese may be 0-1 with a 15 ERA in one career appearance against the Twins, but that was last year when he pitched 3 innings in relief for Nathan Karns and gave up 5, all

Last night-  which would have been about 7AM for y'all.  With 150K or so other souls in Victoria Park, remembering Tiananmen Square.  I'm glad to share baseball losses here, to help take the edge off

Funny, I was about to use that same word to describe my reaction to seeing Ervin's current haircut not hanging out behind his hat.

I think his hair got sick of losing and went to hang out with some winners.

It's not, well, except, I happen to think your wife is pretty nice and wouldn't like to hear you were cheating on her.

Okay, now that's weird. Yes, I'm passing judgement. :)

I personally like the latter best. :)

Agreed. But it does not change my guess on why it has left. :)

I think ChiTown had already jinxed the shutout, opining that the one run might be enough.

No, I didn't opine that it was ... I hoped that it was.

Spin's answer is correct, but it raises the question of how space can be created when matter only changes. The best explanation to that I (who probably knows less about it than Spinowner) am aware of is that space is continuous and has no center. When you think about the structure of an atom, it's somewhat similar on a significantly smaller scale than moon to planet, planet to star, star to galaxy, etc. When you think about these relations, it makes sense that in their orbit the galaxies move away from each other, hence the red shift and expansion.

Ok, but take the very, very farthest away atom or molecule (take your pick) where does it go???

This is as hard as figuring which side of the lake the prettiest girls are on.......

Can anyone realistically explain why a guy who's hit .210 since last seasons All-Star break is our #3 hitter?  I can't figure out why he's even playing, when we have Polanco as an option.  Dozier is without a doubt, my least favorite Twin.
