Random thought, but I have always noticed the hits that get through when the shift is NOT on, that may have been outs had the shift been on. Those hits never get mentioned, but the hits that get through with the shift on ALWAYS get mentioned. The Crisp hit just reminded me of that, not that it would have been an out, but just a random thought.

 

*I am not seeing a Buxton leg kick and he still seems all arms and just trying to make contact, like that last single.

A Casino tried to give one of these away and the place immediately emptied... old people were crushed when they piled up at the door. 

 

 

Mine was a heavily used Opel Manta.    My junior year of college,   every one of the eight or so cars in the 12 unit Minneapolis apartment building parking lot was broken into one night.

 

Except mine.

 

And just as depicted in the photo below,   it was so old and plain that it generated a field of black and white around it wherever it went.

 

Godspeed, mighty Opel.   You saw me through high school and college road trip antics without a scratch.   May the next form your recycled molecules took on have been easier,  more graceful and more peaceful,  like maybe a canoe,  or Gulfstream G IV jet,  or the spiral binding of a Sports illustrated Swimsuit calendar.

A Casino tried to give one of these away and the place immediately emptied... old people were crushed when they piled up at the door. 

You'd think they could've avoided the pile up, considering the first of them didn't arrive for 15 minutes or so, and the last of them are still pushing their walker in that direction.
