jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 This lineup looks like it was picked by pulling names out of a hat. .202/.294/.329 (.624 OPS) in the 3-hole!GO TEAM Catcher batting immediately before slightly faster center fielder! GO TEAM I'll stop right there. GOOOOOOO TEAM
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Our announcers making it sound like Joe has won the player of the week a ton of times. Research gentlemen, research. Or, you know, just read an article about the one he won for last week.

jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 It's nice Park can hit a HR once in awhile, because he does little else well.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Dozier currently might be the worst hitter in the lineup - so I would not bat him third. 7th or 8th sounds about right.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 If Pat Dean hits Centeno's mitt, he'll have a good game.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 can we switch #3 hitters with the As today?
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 on the bright side, our OF today can probably get to and catch some fly balls.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Hahahahaha, Buxton slips and falls, but still catches the fly ball! Hahahaha!
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Pet peeve:annoys me when announcers talk about pitchers pitching against opposing pitchers. Dean didn't pitch against King Felix. Felix pitched against our lineup and Dean pitched against the Mariners lineup.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 On a good note, Pat Dean is indeed still hitting Centeno's glove. That may not stop super-hot Danny Valencia, but most hitters don't do very well against a pitcher that hits his spots.
big dog Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 OK, maybe it's just me, but perhaps we should quit throwing balls down the middle to Valencia and, I don't know, throw inside? Make him move a little? Just a theory.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 It's nice Park can hit a HR once in awhile, because he does little else well.Sounds like a certain LF/DH they have.

It helps pitchers get strikes called when they can do it consistently.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Sounds like a certain LF/DH they have.the one who spends most of the time on the bench?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 the one who spends most of the time on the bench?Yeah, that one.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Right there, that's why I wanted Centeno batting behind Buxton. You get Buck on base, Centeno can drive him in with a long single.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 according the Dick, Buxton was the obvious choice to be called up when Danny Santana got hurt.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Right there, that's why I wanted Centeno batting behind Buxton. You get Buck on base, Centeno can drive him in with a long single.Your plan has an obvious flaw.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Buxton still doesn't look comfortable at the plate. Pitchers are toying with him.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Right now, the Twins lineup has more holes than a Swiss cheese attacked by a horde of hungry mice.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Butler is hilarious to watch when he's running the bases. Before he even got to 1B, he looked like a piano was put on his back.

"Pacific Rim free agents for $200" "If you didn't play for the Minnesota Twins in 2011 or 2012, then you contributed more win shares to the Twins in those years than this Japanese middle infielder who compiled an astonishingly low -2.0 WAR in just 254 plate appearances before vanishing from Major League Baseball forever."
Blake Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Cool, Dean just made a batter move his feet.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Dick is saying Hughes was moved to the bullpen because of Pat Dean. Holy balls.
