Actually, no right fielder catches the first double, and the second one is likely a single, first and third.

We can be critical of Sano's play in right field without inventing things.

Or without monopolizing every thread with this analysis.

Hicks would have caught it.

That double wasn't even hit that hard the other day, it looked worse because for some reason Sano took his first two steps IN on that one. That "Double" opening day gets caught by a good RF.

Upon further review, the one today I agree probably gets caught.

The one Monday, off the wall...no.  Balls fall in right field against other teams, too.

Where are all the Buxton haters?

There aren't any Buxton haters.... saying a guy looks over-matched at the plate isn't hating.

He didn't look very over matched right there, in fact he did a nice job waiting for the good stuff to come over the plate

That ball Monday wasn't hit hard, Sano took his first two steps in, took a bizzarre route and still ended up somewhat close to it. It wasn't going to be an "easy" catch by any means, but several RF could have had it. I will find out the hangtime etc shortly

Yeah, I agree, he did a good job turning on a mistake pitch, hopefully he can turn it around overall and quicker then some of us think.

Bunting in the 3rd inning with one of your best 3 hitters..........ugh.

What sounds more appealing for dinner - leftover pulled pork, or grilling chicken wings?

Both.

I'm only following on game cast, was that really a bunt from Dozier with one out?

Nope! It was a bunt from Dozier with zero outs!

Arcia doesn't make either play though.

Sano is going to look below average out there but comparing him to the elite is a little unfair.

But Yes... He absolutely looked like someone who didn't have experience playing OF on that Schoop Bloop.

Arcia isn't a "good" or anything close to an average RF either.

The Twins actually had an elite RF on their roster this off-season, but chose to trade him for a guy who has yet to get a plate appearance yet.

It wasn't a sac bunt, either...a bunt for a hit.  I don't mind that.  Got a chance to be a hit and at worst moves the runner up.  He just pushed it too far toward the pitcher.

Trying to pick someone off at 3rd is the dumbest thing ever. Nobody is gonna steal home with 2 outs.

It's not about feeling like someone is trying to steal home, it's about trying to get the 3rd out of the inning from a base runner, which the pitcher feels he has a chance of picking off.
