Game Thread, Twins @ Indians, 10/1 @ 6:10 pm CT

Simply had to untie the game there. Simply had to.

[twinsnorth49]

Well dang it, can't say I'm shocked but that's baseball.

Bert: "I didn't think he'd hit into a double play, but he did."

Has he watched Twins baseball at all the past 12 years?

[Riverbrian]

Still more game to be played.

Would have been optimal.  Getting one run, however, is way better than being down 1.

I'm not bashing, but 2 things:

1) Mauer when NOT HITTING WITH RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION: .241.

2) Plouffe and Mauer have now combined for 50 double plays grounded into. (I wonder what the teammate tandem record is?)

[Whammy]

Paul Molitor should be fired on the spot if he lets Perkins face Santana

Kind of like this is a must win, but it's not really a MUST win, but damn, they really must win this one!

Whoa hey, what a surprise running into you after that play.......

Of course.  Think they gotta win out here in the last 4 to have a shot.  3-1 at worst.  AND hope the Rangers/Angels split.

[ScrapTheNickname]

On the other hand, MLB teams have grounded into approximately 4500 double plays this year.

[spinowner]

Nice 1-2-3! Now let's see the leadoff hitter go about 470' to left.

[nicksaviking]

I nearly pressed submit on a post declaring my trust in Boyer is greater than Perkins.

Thank you Perk for letting me de-commit from that frightful thought.

[Craig Arko]

Molitor keeps his job another half inning.

[spinowner]

Which is more unlikely, Santana walking with one out or Plouffe reaching on an infield grounder with one out?

[ScrapTheNickname]

Bert just said that Santana tried to picket. What is his beef?

Yes

[notoriousgod71]

Need a Rosario triple here.

[mikecgrimes]

Nice ball flip!!!

[twinsnorth49]

Making that error pay would be the best payback imaginable for the bat toss.

Got a movie idea for you: White Guys Can't Run. Edgy film shot in Minnesota....

[NoCryingInBaseball]

NICE!!!

[notoriousgod71]

Time to earn your leadership title, Torii!

[twinsnorth49]

I'm not convinced Plouffe even reaches second there.....

[Craig Arko]

Glad there's no tension here.

[notoriousgod71]

Nice.

Just got off the phone after talking to Sprint customer support. I feel like Bill Murray in Ghostbusters after he got slimed.

[spinowner]

Get Jepsen up if he isn't already!

[mikecgrimes]

Torii took an elbow to the groin

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Regain the lead!!
