I've said it before and I'll say it again, give me Rosario's throwing over Hicks. Rosario charges better and throws quickly and accurately. Hicks has a cannon, but he's not as quick getting there and releasing the ball quickly. I'm not sold on the accuracy either.

I don't quite understand why that's an error. I thought he was on his way to 2nd and even if the throw was on target, there would have been a "advanced to 2nd on throw"

My guess is they were looking for an angle that clearly showed if Pelfrey's foot was on the bag.  If it was, he was out.  If not, obviously safe.

They could give every call for the history of the game in the Twins favor and I would still hate it.

 

If they want to get rid of the human element of the game they should just replay each pitch where either the hitter or the pitcher messes up.

I think the idea is the cutoff man would have judged to, indeed, cut the throw off. If he'd been give a chance by Hicks.

Yeah...sorta felt a SS with range gets the first line drive off Pelf, and perhaps the GB by Santana.

 

Not sure why they're not shifted too, especially on Santana.

Have we not all seen this bad movie before? The one where the the guy wants to go look see what's that noise in the basement, and everybody's yelling, "Nooo, the killer's down there," and he goes down there anyway, and he gets killed, and we all could see that was going to happen.

 

At what point does Molitor not see that this was going to happen? I was typing this even as Pelfrey was giving up the 4th run, and I had no doubt about it.

 

You've got to recognize the avalanche of crap before it gathers steam, so you can step out of the way and congratulate yourself on your cleverness.

Ok I like molly but the I'm going g to play Dave w. He can't treat this like game 121. He has to have somebody up as soon as Pelfrey starts flailing g and wandering around. Talk about a dollar short
