Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 How many Germans does it take to screw in a lighbulb? Actually the responses were pretty good and maybe even better But the correct answer is: One... Because they are very efficient and not very funny.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Boy, one little five run deficit and this place clears out faster than my bowling team when the beer tab comes. edit: seven. seven run deficit. //this space reserved for future edits.//
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I'm gonna ask that we all refrain from personal attacks on Pelfrey. You can say he pitched badly... He Did. But... Beyond that. Not treating him like a human being is something that isn't called for. He pitched badly but unless anyone has evidence that he decided to pitch badly on purpose. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt that he's at least human. Heck, even we're all human, more or less.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 dozier picking an awesome time to fall apart in the field.

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Here's a more depressing joke: How many millions of dollars does it take to sign Free Agent Pitchers who can pitch a combined 3.0 WAR in 2015?

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I just got home and was driving home when the challenge was issued. Gladden was practically foaming at the mouth that the review got it wrong basically saying the umps in New York reviewing the play were not objective and do not like to make the other umps look bad. Was it that obvious of a missed call or was Gladden being a little melodramatic. I have not looked at the previous posts - did Brian ever make a decision or is he still starving and wondering what frozen meal to eat?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 That's the one I knew, but Chiefs was better! I agree I'm not sure how that stuff flows naturally out of his head. Kinda like a syrup of some kind.

Couldn't tell if his foot actually touched the bag. If it touched it was clearly an out. And Yeah... I decided to eat all 4 of them. I'm a problem solver.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I have nothing against Mike Pelfrey at all. Some days a pitcher just doesn't have his best stuff, and when Pelfrey's stuff isn't sharp, he gets pounded. You could say the same for Tommy Milone and a few other Twins pitchers. They don't have a lot of extra tricks beyond their limited repertoires. None of this means that these guys don't try their butts off. Of course they do, it's their job, their living, and their life-long passion to play professional baseball. I envy their brief careers as stars in athletic showbiz. It's a wild ride compared to most people's mundane existence. Pelfrey could still be a valuable pitcher, but not as a starter. He could be a very good middle reliever, providing an inning in half the team's games next year. However, he's just not a starter anymore. He's got to adapt to his changing body, like all of us do.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 How to tell you're in Minnesota: there's a commercial that features a nasally "oh you ding-dong" and nobody notices.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 The Twins offense is as bad as Pelfrey so far tonight. Anderson is a nothing. Just another low K starter only getting his shot because pitching is thin throughout the big leagues.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 Most of us know that the football season started a few weeks ago. More or less of us know that the Vikings wear purple. Some of us know that Always33 has been dealing with a muddled brain lately and has been trying to get to the root of the problem. My best friend and I have been joking that it's a result of cocaine and bath salts, but I still wondered what the heck was the matter, really. It just hit me like a 5-ton boulder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkkIwO_X4i4 That totally explains everything ... I put on my Vikings jersey ... and all my sanity and wits, they have vanished ... I promise ....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I'm looking over this crime report for Grand Rapids. It says here... Someone is assaulted every 11 hours and 42 Minutes. I wonder who it is... Jeez... The poor guy.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Phil looks like he'd rather be elsewhere.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 Speaking of purple, Patterson was convicted of second degree murder for killing All Day's son. I remember when that first happened ... I saw the headlines and almost dropped dead of heart failure. I was thinking, No, not our Flash ... it just can't be our Flash. Thank God it wasn't.
