ashbury Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Good some one answered it!Hey, it's not my first IQ test. I've been around the block. I routinely score 75 - that's out of a hundred, right? Pretty good I say!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Yeah, what a foul-up. When, obviously, the correct answer is that Tim Is Mike. I was gonna guess Optometrist but it wasn't an option.

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 ****. Postponed? That works against the Twins big time, it's hard as all hell to sweep a double header. Stupid Cleveland, you are the worst city ever. Ichiro put it best: “To tell the truth, I’m not excited to go to Cleveland, but we have to,” Ichiro said through an interpreter. “If I ever saw myself saying I’m excited going to Cleveland, I’d punch myself in the face, because I’m lying.”
formerly33 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Does that mean I get to write 4 game threads this series? Yikes ... not sure I'm looking forward to that. Oh wait ... I have meself an idee.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Haha, great. My answer was "they're sisters.""I can't operate on this boy! He's my son!"

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Double header tomorrow. Hopefully the Twins will just be one game back of the Stros by then.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I scored 93 on the nerd test!Proceed with confidence. We have no more to teach you, and you are no longer a Padawan.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I really like the delay if the Astros lose tonight. Twins win two tomorrow and it's all tied up. Of course if the Astros don't lose, I'm going to be sick seeing the Twins two back tomorrow morning.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I wasn't going to see much of the game anyway. It's Agents of SHIELD night. Go A's! Go, Mariners!

David HK Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Welcome indeed, and ditto about the need to win, one game at a time. Hopefully you've lurked at least a little, so that you know sometimes in game threads we veer a bit off topic - the metaphor is friends gathering in the left field cheapseats to enjoy the game and each other's company and root root root for the Twins. Ginger-vs-MaryAnn has become less of a staple now that some actual g-g-g-girls (for instance our thread-starter today) have joined in the fun. Nature abhors a vacuum (so does my cat) and if the game comments start to slacken then the side comments begin to dominate, but it's usually possible to get back to game talk if that's the group's desire. One thing we try to avoid is getting into deep discussion of broad issues like the team's direction and so forth - there are plenty of other forum threads here at the site for that. If you arrive in the 7th inning drunk and all you seem to want to discuss is Joe Mauer's salary now that he's in the middle of an o-fer, the ushers will perhaps see you out. Discuss what comes to mind, but don't take anything other than the progress of the game too terribly seriously. So strap in to your rocket seat for some rock-em-sock-em astronomy discussions, with a bit of game events thrown in too.It took me this long to figure out these threads appear when there's a game going on. I thought it was just a happy coincidence, that a bunch of Twinkie fans just gather at random moments and shoot the shi-rt. And once in a while you look up, and the Twins are playing at the same time! Either way, fine with me, I really enjoy the banter, game-on or not. KInd of reminds me of Chrissy from 3's Company, reading the newspaper in astonishment. "it happened again!" she exclaims. When Jack asks what happened she says, in all seriousness--"Everybody died in alphabetical order!"
