[Cap'n Piranha]

Cory Provus, discussing Gibson's 7+ ERA against the Indians--

"Gibson is due for a good start against this ballclub"

Or, taking the more statistically likely approach, Gibson is likely to get hit hard today against this ballclub.

[woolywoolhouse]

Twins have made it a habit to score all their runs in a lump sum in the early innings, with one later in the game. Hopefully that isn't the case today in Game 1... since their early lump was only one.

[Foghorn Leghorn]

Looking sharp so far.

[akmanak]

Great inning by Gibson. Can't remember the last starter who struck out the side.

Hopefully Buxton can build on his big game the other day.

[Cap'n Piranha]

Who is this Kyle Gibson?

Cory Provus, with Mauer on second--

"This is a scoring opportunity that you just can't not miss"

[DaveW]

Mauer halfway to the cycle.

[Foghorn Leghorn]

Plouffe good job, son.

That is a tough ball to track.

[tharasix]

Is this umpire's zone as bad as the ESPN gamecast makes it look?  I've seen about 6 called strikes well outside the zone.

[DaveW]

Rosario with a walk.

Time for Hunter to earn that MVP award

That just gave me a flashback to Twins Outfield 2014 (I think - 2011 to 2014 are starting to blur together in my mind as I try to repress most of the memories).

[Cap'n Piranha]

Getting to the Cleveland bullpen early in this game should be the priority mission right now.

[mikecgrimes]

After a big hit like that you have to wonder if anyone is considering Torii Hunter for league MVP

[jimbo92107]

Too bad Torii Hunter just can't get it done anymore... ;-)

[DaveW]

MVP! MVP! MVP!

[Foghorn Leghorn]

No outs.

[nicksaviking]

Forget 2016, Molitor can have Hunter until 2020 now.**

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

All of this, without the aid of a sacrifice bunt!!!

[USAFChief]

pfft.  what's his DRS?
